The first warning that Yuuka received about what was about to happen was that everything nearby was engulfed by shadow. It was a shadow derived from neither magic nor the approaching dusk, but instead a single article of clothing contributing to blotting out the sunlight. All this warning, of course, meant only one thing: a large and cheerful witch appearing behind the bench and going for a hug. Catherine viewed it as a good idea to form 'close' relationships with your classmates, after all. "That book interestin', Yuuka-chan?" Kitty asked, tilting her head to try and read the cover. It was unlikely, since she tended to go for something more easily digested for her own hobbies, but maybe it was something that she'd read? The sudden tilt woke up the cat otherwise happily seated atop her hat, which made its objection to this known by an indignant mew before moving closer to the crown and wrapping around it.
