Nikki was sitting on the ground outside waiting for the people inside to get their stuff together. She had finished shining her blades and was looking at the mapbook she had grabbed out of a convenient store right after the epidemic had hit. She had forgotten that she even had it until she started to worry about getting into neighborhoods and not being able to get out of them. Nikki was not bashful about being herself and she got up humming a song she had stuck in her head and started to dance in the street while waiting for the others. She liked to be in a good mood and music always put her in a good mood. She was having fun and when a walker popped out and onto the street she made killing it look graceful as she swung her katana and continued right on dancing. She remembered dancing with her mom. Her mom had been a beautiful ballerina. She had hoped Nikki would love it like she did. Nikki had loved it but she preffered other kinds of dance and had gotten into dance and gymnastics and martial arts and self defense so much so that she had gotten scholarships to Julliard and had excelled beyond her mother's dreams for her. When Nikki closed her eyes she could still pretend that it was still real. Now she would just dance for herself. She opened her eyes and just saw a lonely street ahead of her and a group of people behind her. She sighed and smiled as some of them had been watching her with appreciation on their faces.
