The woman watched the man eat for a moment or two before turning away to look towards the sounds coming from the other rooms. Must've been the mother getting her child together. She hadn't actually seen the mother's face, the shadows of the house obscuring her view earlier. The soldier's face though, she had seen. He was a handsome man but not her type. She liked them a little looser around the edges. Preferably just about unravelling at the seams. A furry mass nudged itself against her leg and she looked down to find Themistocles rubbing his head against her side, nearly shifting her footing. Chuckling she stroked him behind the ears, glancing up as the man spoke again. Rowena's brow creased ever so slightly as she was about respond when a young woman opened the door and started screaming about walkers. Rowena's face absolutely lit up. The surge of adrenalin was almost instantaneous. Finally she would have something to do. But just as she realized this, picking up her pipe, it dawned on her that all she had was well, the pipe. The pipe and a dog. Themistocles could definitely topple a walker or three but she did not allow him to bite unless she gave a specific command. And she would not be giving that command, not wanting him to become infected. She didn't know whether animals could become walkers or not but she was not risking it. All but vibrating with excitement, she followed the woman outside quickly, helping out where she could, the hype adding to her strength, giving some that she wouldn't have otherwise had. Her nails dug into her palm as she tried to contain herself, focusing her new-found energy into helping out. She looked for Ethan quickly when all that could be done was done and made her way over. "Hey there. So, do you mind if I create a distraction when they get close? Really loud, drive them away sort of distraction? It's really no trouble, I'd love to do it. I'm aching to stretch my legs anyway. I'll lead them away and kill them off while you all fight here. I'll come back as soon as possible," Rowena said, eyes shining. She waited for Ethan to give her a response before nodding and moving on, looking around. After a minute she recognized the mother, holding her child close and trying to soothe her. Rowena swallowed as she seemed to be addressing her, assuming she'd have a problem with the child. The child was hardly on Rowena's mind when her mother had cheekbones like that. Rowena approached with caution, the way one would a paranoid injured deer, calming herself down if only for this situation. She was fully aware that the young woman was talking to the two men but somehow it didn't bother her at all. She seemed to be waiting on an answer so Rowena simply spoke during the pause. Gently, she reached out to touch her fingertips to the woman's shoulder, just to get her attention, the touch non-threatening before it was retracted. "Ah, I know this will come off strange but I think you're fucking gorgeous," she said bluntly before glancing at Ethan then the soldier and back to the mother. "I'm assuming gentlemen are your thing, handsome and strong as they are, but if you ever feel like batting for the same team let me know, yeah?" Rowena offered a charming smile, one to the mother then to the child. "Oh but that fantastic bone structure isn't the only reason I came over. I was wondering if you'd want Themistocles to play your bodyguard while this thing goes down. He's quite useful," Rowena said, patting the animal's head, the dog looking up happily, tongue lolling out of his mouth. [@Belle] [@josephb]
