Itsuki vs. Miyako, The Little Monster:Part One
All the lifeless bodies, sprayed blood, and various detached limbs weren't worth much in the end. They knew nothing and apparently weren't worth the time of day for anyone else. They were all worthless hoodlums who were squatting in shack. They would have made excellent bait for a bigger fish if somebody cared about their hideout but it appears no one did. A shame, really, however this was but a start to the Little Monster's spree across her hometown. There were plenty of other fish in the sea, after all, but they can wait. What was another few hours of her watchful vigil. After about an hour, Miyako's patience paid off. A claimant, or at least someone who appeared that way, stepped in from the creaking doorway. She watched that somebody slipped into the warehouse from atop her perch on a steel beam. A man, tall. Reeked of ghoul. Visitor. Interloper. Target. A scratchy, male voice called to Miyako from the back of her mind. The phenomenon wasn't lost on the girl as she winced from her internal invader, but his presence has long been accounted for now so it came as no surprise. Besides, there were larger fish to fry as the labeled "interloper" wandered forward, deeper into the Little Monster's trap. Miyako continued her study of the man, sizing him up, but also waiting for the opportune time to spring her little trap. The man, clearly a ghoul now that he had his Kagune emerged from his back, was almost certainly connected with the rabble Miyako had slain earlier. Otherwise, there was no reason for him showing up. He was probably a higher up because he came alone, at least that's what Miyako could smell. So it made sense to not waste words with the man, because clearly a peaceful envoy wasn't going to happen. Besides, people were plenty more talkative when tortured anyway... All thanks to her "master's" teachings. So Miyako waited until the man was just beneath her and then aroused her Kagune and allowed her 'wings' to spread out behind her. She leapt from her perch and fell silently, closer and closer to her potential prey. At about halfway from the ground, she let loose a volley of crystalline RC cells, hoping to pepper the man before he even knew she was there. Itsuki had to give his attacker on thing, they were smart and knew how to hide themselves well. He barely had anytime to react to the attack, their silent movements and the thick smell of blood in the enclosed air keeping him from detecting her until she launched her attack. He leaped to the side, suffering from a few grazes as he turned his gaze onto the attacker, taking in her stance and Kagune as he readied his. Ukaku, eh. Annoying as hell, but I'm pretty sure that I can take her down quick if I can get in close, which is the hard part. That aside, given that she was just in a fight, she might just be a bit fatigued, so waiting until she tires out is also an option, though no preferable. Focus on getting in close and not taking damage, don't let her get the drop on you again. Focus. Breathe. Attack With nary a second of hesitation, Itsuki bolted forward, using on of his Kagune to grab on of the dead bodies, and throw it at his foe, more as a distraction than anything else, while his other Kagune would grab a second body, this time holding it slightly to the side to act as a shield against her ranged attacks if the need arises. He'd attempt to get in close and lash out with his free Kagune, the clawed tendril to sink itself in her flesh, followed by pulling her in for a solid punch to her throat, which would be accompanied by the kagune wrapped around his arm to burst out to add a deadly amount of force to the strike as well since he was aiming to end this quickly. Miyako's initial attack wasn't exactly the kill she wanted but a part of her felt delighted it wasn't going to be easy. Miyako landed just as the man tossed a chewed corpse towards her position. It was easy enough to duck under and Miyako fired a second volley of projectiles after recovering. Cleverly, the man used a second body to cover him as he approached so he was protected, but Miyako wasn't worried as the man closed the gap. She took a step back and braced herself for his attack... Once the man was in close, he swung his Rinkaku hoping to smash the girl but Miyako sidestepped it, slightly moving towards the man as she dodged the tendril. As if expecting it, the man threw a high punch but again, Miyako's speed and reflexes were enough to allow her to weave around the punch. Her counter would be swift at this point, however. She would grab onto the man's wrist and lift her mask only slightly to bar her teeth and then she'd try to sink her teeth into the man's forearm. While this happened, she would activate the RC drips from where she had fallen and been standing only moments ago. Several thin but long crystal spikes would suddenly emerge from ground beneath the man and while not all would be accurate, she predicted a few would pierce the man in several places. Following this up, she'd pull her mouth away, tearing flesh from the man's arm and fire a third volley from her Ukaku but this time at point blank. Itsuki grit his teeth in annoyance as he his opponent dodged his attacks, which was followed by a slight grunt as she went to bite his outstretched arm. However, instead of biting into the flesh of his forearm, she'd find her mouth beingade rather bloody by the jagged scales of his Kagune, which was still wrapped around his arm at the moment and protected him from the attack. Not so much the case for the spikes that suddenly shot up from the ground, as several found their way into his calves and outstretched arm. His Kagune, however, were free, as he'd begun to unravel the other three that were wrapped around his limbs as she dodged his other attack. So when she tried to retreat and fire at him with her Ukaku, he'd also with four tendrils, wrapping them tightly around her outstretched wings, the jagged edges of the scales ripping and tearing the membrane and hopefully preventing it from firing as they were slowly crushed, two tendrils for each wing. This would leave him with one final tendril free which he'd use to try and grab at her head, followed by him lifting her up and smashing her into a nearby steel beam, than throwing her down on to the ground a short ways away. With a pained grunt, he'd break the thin crystals as he freed himself, pulling them out with a pained hiss as he kept an eye on his foe. If there was a chance for it, he'd use one of his Kagune to pick up a spare arm, feeling like he'd need to feed on something to help him heal faster. As it was, he couldn't run or jump at the moment, and while he could feel his natural regenerative factor work a bit, he knew he wouldn't have much time before this crazy bitch attack again. That Kagune is annoying, he thought as he flicked his Kagune, trying to get all of the excess RC cells off them, feeling that they had something to do with those crystals that came out of nowhere. I hate fighting tricky Kagune like this. Makes everything annoying and complicated.
