[@ImportantNobody] - Is there anything about the soldier's wounds that can lend credence to Ludmilla's claims of dragons, something a student of the arcane could analyze?
Well first let's set aside the fact that the wounds are physical, not magical in nature. The only wounds he had received upon entering were a "large gash on his shoulder" and several superficial wounds, plus torn clothing and armor. Assuming the marks are torn rather than sliced, as with a sharp sword, that's still not enough info to rule out anything other than a large beast (or a vicious humanoid) but that still leaves pretty much any possibility that isn't a guy with a sword. Interestingly, any burn wounds are absent, so he must have bailed before the dragon used its breath attack. Now, all this doesn't matter because he just had a large oak table broken over his head. Oak's a pretty sturdy wood. So the force we're talking about here, landing directly from above, would cause quite a bit of damage. We're talking a fractured if not shattered skull, broken vertebrae, collarbone, and other fractures throughout the body. The splintered bones would likely stick out, further mangling the flesh and making it harder to tell when the wounds were received.
