The shock of the woman touching him ‘rattled’ him far more than it should have- but it was odd to run into two that could touch a phantom in such a short span of days. In a way, he was glad that the guise of death masked his expressions. Skulls didn’t have the burden of sharing facial expressions with those around them. Instead of stepping away from him however, she reached up to touch what was left of his face. If Kelvin had the muscles to manage it his eyebrows would have raised. He stood in shock for a few moments of inspection before any verbal response could come to mind. It was odd, that his spirit felt the fingers as if they pressed against flesh rather than bone. Perhaps a subtle reveal that his senses were more a matter of spirit now than of physiological input. “More curious that one would want to touch one, I believe.” He gently, but firmly grabbed her hand and lowered it away from his face. “You could say that I am but a shadow of my former self.” His voice lowered slightly, darkening at the mention of necromancy. “It might also be that a slave speaks more freely when his master is not listening.” In idle experimentation, he reached over her shoulder and passed a hand through her spear- clearly he could not touch what she carried. A few questions arose, How strong am I in comparison? Can I pick her up? Can I touch her clothes? the last of which made him turn to look away from her awkwardly, erasing that experiment from existence. Some questions were best left unanswered- centuries had taught him that. “What lays in Linore, to attract such an odd party?” This was interesting, and he had a vested interest in making sure that such a mixed company got along. He had been waiting a long time for this kind of opportunity to be possible. He reached out, holding her by her chin to turn her face one way, and then the other in gentle mockery of her earlier action. “Have you dealt with my kind often?” [@Narcotic Dollie]
