What an excellent day to go on an adventure! thought Lydia, as she reached the outskirts of Hogsmeade. The early summer warmth was just starting to rise from the earth. Albeit, it was a very quiet day, and the streets were empty. Lydia strutted down the path, as a small breeze blew through her long, blonde hair. Her bangle bracelets and necklace, jingled with every step of her silver ballet flats. Her Versace sunglasses reflected against a gold, lucky coin necklace. It was a gift from her boyfriend, Logan O’Lynch. Her cheeks flushed with excitement. “We’re going to have one strangely mismatched lot.” She muttered to herself as she flattened her summer dress against another soft current. Her encrusted purse was swaying elegantly off her shoulder. It was magically charmed, to contain a trunk of her belongings, and another enchanted tent, which would accommodate them during their travel.
Lydia finally reached their rendezvous point, the Three Broomsticks Inn. As she made for the door, she was astounded with the reflection in the glass. She jumped to her toes in a reflexive manner. She was taken over by an obsequious stupor. Here, a glassy reflection of her delicately long fingers, combed through soft, silky hair. A six foot, blonde beauty, was gazing at her with a smug air. She regained herself with a quick shiver and a pirouette. Her dress twirled as she charmingly reached for the door. They had decided to meet a week after graduation. This would give them enough time to bring possessions from home, and spend a few days with their families, before departing on their journey. They would have a blast! A new age was dawning! At least Lydia hoped so, seeing she was the witch in charge. She made for the bar with much anticipation, and took no notice of any potential classmates, as a pretty smile reanimated her face. “Peachtree Fizzing Tea, please.”

Nymia grumbled to herself as she walked toward her destination, which wasn't that far off. A blue and khaki messenger bag was swung over a shoulder and had a selection of decorations. A rugged looking traveling cloak, flapped against black faded combat boots. The pocket sown in for her wand could be faintly observed. Although it was warm, Nymia always preferred ridiculously hot temperatures. The small cloud of dirt around her black legging didn’t worry her. Her baggy, short-sleeved black t-shirt fell off a petite shoulder. The British flag was blowing in the wind, against a 'hipster' leather belt that had a few compartments on it. She sported short, cut-off, blue-jeans. The pockets were barely visible behind the fray.
Hogsmeade wasn't as busy with students as it was on holiday, and she preferred it this way. She was feeling a bit nervous about the trip. She was only doing it because; Miss Haworth had badgered her about it for two whole months. It wasn't helping that the strap was now digging into her shoulder (the consequence of lazy packing) and a shoe was eating at her lower back through the bag. She silently scoffed at her stupidity of not allowing her house elves to pack it for her. She contemplated on searching her bag for her charm book. Her obsession with reading caused the compulsory accumulation of many, heavy, books. She paused in her tracks as her heart began to race. Last she recalled, there were more girls in the party, and a few of the guys were Slytherin! "This'll be fun." she retorted sarcastically. Not that she hated girls, but then, they do tend to fuss a great deal more than she ever tolerated.
She slowed her gait, as she caught sight of a young witch up the road. As quickly as she could, she flew into Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop, and to her luck it had only one customer. She quietly, took a seat by the window and waited for the witch to disappear from view. Nymia leaned against the seat, as she pulled out a small, black, leather bound book. A white, self-inking, dove quill was retrieved from her coat pocket. Reminder. This is the first and last time I will give in to peer pressure! As she got to her feet, she slid the journal back into her bag, and placed her quill behind her ear. As she closed the shop door behind her, she let out a weak sigh and re-continued her walk. “Well, I’m already here… I guess I should make an effort.” she said, as she neared the Three Broomsticks Inn.

“I couldn’t have been more productive!” Grant let out as he continued down High Street. He was having some difficulty pushing a broom into his haversack, luckily it had an undetectable extension charm. His broad shoulder’s where covered by a Hawick Cashmere henley. Truthfully, Grant had visited many shops that morning and in fact, his sack was recently purchased from Gladrags Wizardwear. His second stop was Zonko’s Joke shop, where he acquired a great deal of Dungbombs and Sugar Quills. With his brilliant intentions on having fun, he then raided Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes, where he bought an Electric Shock Shake, a few Extendable Ears, and four various Skiving Snackboxes.
Concluding his spending spree, he stopped once more at Spintwitches, for a new Broom Compass. His previous one had broken during his last Quidditch match, in his seventh year. “Bloody knew I should’ve left you at home and brought my Nimbus ‘13!” He roared, as he angrily dropped his bag and kicked it with his shoe. He ruffled his hands through his short brown hair. After successfully concealing the broom, he pulled out a watch from his black denim jeans. His sharp green eyes started with the hour. Hope I’m not late! I would honestly prefer doing this trip with the team, though. Oh well… Wight might make it interesting enough. Mmm, an Ogden’s Old Firewhiskey does sound nice! His walk took no time at all, and before he opened the door to the inn, he sheepishly looked himself over.

“This’ll be great fun, Silverdew! We might even visit home, just think of it. Ah, I can’t wait.” Dale exclaimed allowed as she got to her feet. Her red mane fluttered in every direction with the draft, a few strands even flew out from beneath her black cap and into her mouth, if not blinded her. On the shoulder of her green hunting jacket sat a large niffler, attempting to reach for her earrings. “Now there, mate, you need to behave yourself, right? We can’t have any of that during this trip, but you sure will get your chance in finding us some treasura” She said as she lifted her niffler and gently placed him into her leather bag. Like the rest, she too had procured one with an extension charm on it. It was filled with a lot of clothes, a magical and Muggle camera, cooking items, and loads of candy. She had apparated near the Shrieking Shack and failed to land on her feet. As she finished brushing off her clothes and retying her old combat boots, she headed for The Three Broomsticks Inn, while singing an old nursery rhyme. “Johnny and Jane and Jack and Lou; Butler’s Stairs through Woolloomooloo; Woolloomooloo, and ‘cross the Domain, Round the Block, and home again! Heigh ho! Tipsy toe, Give us a kiss and away we go!” She finished her song just in time and entered the Inn with a large toothy grin. Her pulse quickened in excitement, and she skipped toward the bar. “Nice day, isn’t it Madam Rosmerta? One cherry syrup and soda, please! Can’t wait to be getting on the road; I wonder where we’re going first?”

Avan sighed, peering into his bedroom mirror, a half-frown on his face. It wasn't that he wasn't pleased with his appearance- He never cared anyway. A loose t-shirt, grey windbreaker, worn, boot-cut jeans and hiking boots made up his outfit, and his hair was, as always, a complete mess. But his frown came from a sense of apprehension, in truth. The trip he planned on joining was supposed to be an immense undertaking, and while e was excited, he wasn't quite sure how he'd manage among a group supposedly made up of a majority of women. While he'd never let on about it, they made him uneasy in groups. It was like women traveled in packs!

With a quick shake of his head to compose himself, he replaced the frown with his usual grin, that devious light igniting in his stormy-grey eyes as he went over a brief mental checklist of things in the satchel at his side. The usual necessities, some clothes, his personal alchemy kit, full of all his potions and herbology needs.... The list went on for a few moments in his head before he nodded, all set as far as he could tell.

That in mind, he raised his wand absently, shouting a goodbye over his shoulder- no-doubt going unheard by his family- and vanishing with the loud 'crack' that always accompanied apparation. A bare moment of spinning through nothingness later, and he arrived -in- the three broomsticks, because really, who has time to walk? Unfortunately, his landing wasn't quite as smooth as he'd hoped, ending with him falling from a few feet above the ground and landing flat on his face. A pained groan escaped him, and it took a few moments for him to push himself up from the ground, getting to his feet with a broad grin, as if nothing had happened. He didn't even bother fixing his now out-of-place clothes.

"Gooooood afternoon, ladies, gents!"

He offered a wide wave to the entire bar at once, more or less, and made his way to the bar.

"Just a water for me, Madam Rosmerta?"

Once he attained the simple drink, he spun on his heel, leaning back against the bar and letting his gaze flick from person to person, grin still plastered to his face. Seemed he was on time, more or less...
