[@Monkeypants]It actually happens more than you think, many Hallows on their journeys to Myrstrost travel alone or try to hide their nature in some form. Of course, actual Myrstrost Hallows who haven't recently turned will stay in numbers for safety and will often take normal humans to "balance it out".
