Donte, Shuwen, and conditionally Cu hard counter Questing Beast pretty hard.

Dante deals with God. Capital G and Hell. If that is not mysterious, then I don't know what is.

Cu belongs to the age before man, making him a prime target. He would have to end the fight quickly to beat him. Whitch he could, but still. That is 2, out of the 12 slots. I see a problem with that.

I also kind of feel like this rendition of Pellimore fits a berserker class instead of rider.

That is exactly it. It would take someone as equally OP to combat him. On our roster, we have none, for good reason.

Achilles is still invincible to it right? I don't think it's a divine beasts of anything. But even so you're also right in that Achilles can't kill the beast either and people with more vanilla servants like Masamune literally can't do anything

I feel like Pellinore being able to ride or use the questing beast is odd, considering he quested for it and never caught it while it opposed him. Seems like those sort of meme situations where a Beowulf is made that rides the dragon that killed him.

It doesn't listen to him.

Either way, Player 2 and Certainly have pointed out the main things. Plenty of the cast can deal with it, so it's fine for balancing.

You misunderstand the NP. It's not fair for me to explain its weaknesses, but I assure you that it's balanced.

I have no idea how Achillie's immortality could face up. It is part of the time before the Age of Man, so it would be targeted. And he, unlike that, has a legitiment and exploitable weakness-- his heel. Even more so, since he is Lancer, not Rider.

Does the questing beast work like flat snark?

Plenty. Right. Two characters, both of which have the capacity to 1 hit K.O. Dante would not work.

Not fair? How? Everyone else has their weaknesses plastered on their Character sheets.

If it was the Snark then the war would end in three hours and I would have banned it within ten seconds of it being apped.

Well in a situation like this, it becomes a battle of concepts.

Like for example, lets say I really want to ruin everyones day and apply Berserker!Herc

Pellinore uses Questing Beast and said Beast tries to slash Herc.

God hand blocks any attack that is at or below B rank, no questions asked. Could be a world buster attack and if it's B rank Herc walks it off.

However, Questing Beast is anti-AoG and anti-Divine curse, which is what god hand is. But, Questing Beasts attack is unranked, thus it shouldn't do anything to Herc.

If it's like that, it becomes a battle of concepts between the concept of God Hand and Questing Beasts "End AoG"

Dante would work, you're just misunderstanding the NP. There are also others who conditionally counter it that weren't mentioned.

It's not fair since the weakness is in the sheet, you just need to look for it. Figuring out how to beat a Servant is half the fun, if I tell you what to do to kill Pellinore then how is that fair?

Right, then how are we gonna plan on settling these battle of concepts? Seems like there's no definite answer to them.

Oh I meant like how the resistances work. I'm sure the beast wouldn't have the exponential growth the snark has

That's what I'm here for.

The answer's there, just look for it. Interaction between powers is a lot more fun than two ships passing in the night.

You're also free to argue for your viewpoint on why your concept should win. That's part of the fun too.

But Questing Beast seems to be more definitive that all mysteries are useless against it...Really, the only weakness that this weapon has is that it would a human master to kill it, but even then that seems extremely unlikely.

It's not like a Ploy, no, but the Questing Beast and Ploys do share some weaknesses. That's all I'll say on the matter since it's the sort of thing you should try and work out on your own, and I don't know if Player 2 realizes that it's a weakness either.

I'm analyzing this NP and really, I feel like I'm not. The weaknesses that I see are as follows:

1: Huge mana consumption on both the master and servant

2. Uncontrollable

3. Requires a servant of the age of man or a modern day human to kill that, which even then is hardly a weakness because is strong enough on its own right to take down high leveled servants of the age of man and a human killing it? I think very few masters can bring it down.

If a Master is fighting it, they'll die.

That said, plenty of Servants can beat it. Even some Age of Gods Servants can beat it. Even Servants who "should" be countered by it can beat it too, if they employ a certain method.

Trust me, there are plenty of ways to beat it.
