If the next Servant we get is Assassin, would everyone be okay with doing a more traditional fourteen-person Grail War? Since we'd have all the classes, and part of my reason for making it bigger is because certain ones(Berserker and Assassin) seem harder to fill.
The personality and appearance were hard to do... it's always there to be rinsed and repeated but it there... Never the less, I got the goods here!
Name: Uriel Cabaluna
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Appearance: Standing at a height of 6'3, Uriel is quite tall and often has problems with things often swinging close to his head from the ceiling if he isn't careful of where he is going. Often worrying that his dirty blonde hair getting messed up along with a bump on his head that he might get. He sports a rather muscular and broad frame from his hobby of traveling around the world, making his body size quite imposing to some people. Having only piercing blue eyes that don't help but reinforce his intimidating presence as he unintentionally stares you down. He prefers to have a business casual look to him most of the time, which he likes to wear either sweaters or if going with a more casual look, jackets.
Personality: Uriel is quite an interesting individual who has more that what seems to the eye, being quite a studious person but doesn't simply want to give out what he knows. Trying to have a disinterest in things is because of the effort that it would take for him to accomplish it if he would to intrude. He is a completely two-faced individual who tries to take care of the mask that he wears on for people around him. Holding the foundation of his persona that he has for such a long time that it has become natural for himself to simply just become what he was pretending to be. Having a serious personality and straight to the point, he isn't afraid to be direct if the situation calls for it. Being interesting competitive when the right circumstances fall around, if you hit the right spots and triggered the correct events in order you might, just might crack that mask of his that he wears. Having an interest in finding things which can sate his hunger for not knowledge but adrenaline and fun, being quite the thrill seeker which can surprise people.
Skills: Uriel is forced to be trained in some sort of self-defense as his power as a magus is selective for each situation and scenario he is put in. In those situations where he is near useless and even a hindrance, he can limit to how much of a liability he is by training himself with various physical activities. Being skilled with more discreet talents, capable of parkour and freerunning, allowing him to outmaneuver through the obstacles that he faces when running away generally. Practicing the art of ninjutsu, he is skilled in infiltration and espionage along with other things from his training.
Abilities: Uriel is an anomaly of the system of magus families and the passage of the magic circuits through genetics. He is a magus but through mutation, born to a dying family who all that have left is their prestige and reputation which barely stands. He is a small blip of resurgence of magic circuits with him being the only one to have magic circuits of his generation of family, having below average magic circuits which are of average quality. His defining feature however is his elemental affinity of earth and his origin being rituals.
His magic circuits and what he can do with them are limited, thus forcing him to often use formalcraft for the majority of his spells. Drawing upon the mana from the environment, he is specialized in formalcraft to the point that he is capable of competing against other magus with better circuits than him. Of course in a head-on-head battle he would lose, but if given time to prepare himself he is... difficult to overcome simply unless you're simply outclassing him greatly. His general lack of knowledge for any other branch of magecraft except the basics of reinforcement and earth type elemental magecraft gives him a large amount of spare to do his study and increase his arsenal of spells. Having a large majority of time invested on top of his initial focus of magecraft.
His skill in formalcraft is perhaps unmatched by what the other magus competing in the Grail War will possibly have. Their time dedicated to other branches of magecraft, his is in formalcraft making it his area of specialty. His investment in formalcraft has allowed him to completely do all of it with simply ritual circles, allowing any sacrifice or material that he uses in them to power up his spells. With his earth element affinity, he has an easier time performing elemental magecraft of the earth type, using it for simple purposes which don't consume too much od from him. Using chalk as his manipulated source, he can manipulate the properties of the chalk to various degrees but its main use is to draw his ritual circles with the largest of them that he knows in simple minutes while smaller one done in a few minutes to a few seconds. The only limit to his formalcraft is the knowledge that he has and the amount of mana that is in the environment itself.
Due to Uriel's unique affinity and origin which he hasn't really explored, the potential he has within him is still capable of expanding more than what he is currently limited to.
Brief Backstory: The Cabaluna family is a no longer officially a magus family, their line of magic circuits long have disappeared for many generation and the location of their magic crest lost in family manuscripts which have long since eroded from readable quality. This is the family that Uriel comes from, born as resurgence of magic circuits to a old magus family. His elders and relatives swarmed him as he was a hope that surfaced from the depths of the darkness and they all contributed to his training as a magus.
However, he disappointed a large majority of his family for his lack of impressive circuits and was left alone with the remaining relatives who still had hope that he could become a magus even if he was below the standards. Funneling information from surviving text and general books of magecraft, Uriel gathered and amassed information that was drilled into him to become something. Even if that something he became was small, it was better than being nothing and thus ends the story of his family and their contributions.
Uriel himself would later leave his family as he would explore the world to learn more and apply what he could to his limited potential. With the backing of his family who while powerless in the world of magecraft, were quite wealthy in the world of normal people. Providing the financial security for Uriel as he would travel the world and continue absorbing information from where he traveled. Improving and expanding his sheer skill in such a simple branch of magecraft to unfathomable levels, he was noticed by the academy for his unique skill. He was asked to become a student, but declined knowing that what the academy would teach would only be only reviewing what he already knew. Since then a little rumor can floated around that Uriel has been given a sealing designation for something that his unique skills can only do.
I'll add a picture later when I'm off my school computer
Standing at a height of 6'3, Uriel is quite tall and often has problems with things often swinging close to his head from the ceiling if he isn't careful of where he is going
... Is he from the land of low ceilings? I don't have that problem. :P
Yes he comes from the land of low ceilings, his common enenmy and threat is the ceiling fans who are always a constant threat for decapitation and the vile chandelier another threat for the unprotected eyes... Not to mention those railings, so far from the hands of the tall which can simply fly over them :O It is indeed a scary place to come from. (Aside from that I'm pretty short so yes, 6 ft and up is pretty damn tall...)
[Edit: Did I mention those annoying shoe laces, for one such as Uriel to descend such distance just to reach the ground is simply... inhumane and back breaking on top of that]
@VitaVitaAR Alright, give me some time, I'm still stuck on the school computer so yeah... the Type Moon wiki is blocked and I cry
@VitaVitaAR Any chance that a servant can be from a work of literature (not those silly kids book) but from those old people who wrote those things to torment the English kids of today?
(Also just to let you know, Im just going to scrap the double Ritual affinity/origin thing cause my creative juices aren't flowing enough)
The Servant must have existed in the Nasuverse. They can be something from a work of fiction in real life, but it needs to be old enough to qualify and plausibly exist in the Nasuverse.
Name: Sister Catherine Delacroix Age:26 Female Appearance: Catherine stands at 5'7", with a slim, athletic build that is covered by her large nun's habit. She has long blonde hair and brown, almond shaped eyes, and a slightly upturned nose and full lips. Her lower legs are prosthesis made of white plastic and metal, and allow the nun to walk with a slight limp, but makes running difficult. Personality: Catherine is a solemn, but caring woman who is very protective of her charges. She is very cynical, despite her young age, yet still acts with hints of naivete due to her upbringing. As well, Catherine is highly distrustful of the Church, but stays within the organization to care for the orphans. As well, her beliefs often conflict with mainstream Catholicism, due to her Executor training. Skills: Executor training, recon, spying, and assassination, Knowledge of the occult. Abilities: Catherine is at peak human physique, as well as being highly intelligent. Her abilities with the Black Keys are very exceptional. Kirei Kotomine had the ability to throw a singular black key in 0.3 seconds, and four in 0.7 seconds. In comparison, Catherine can throw a single blade in .42 seconds, and three in .81 seconds. Despite being crippled, she can hold her own against most normal humans, and can use her training as a spy to discreetly watch and inform her Servant of the stats of the other servant. As well, with her knowledge she gained in her training, as well as her training in the occult and supernatural, she is well informed of possible players and has a reasonable grasp of possible Servants once given enough information. Her Circuits are unnatural, and using them is painful for her, as they had been transplanted by the Dead Apostle after she had blacked out. Sacrificing her legs, and the souls of her mentor and Gertrude, the Dead Apostle gave her enough circuits to give her slightly more than average amount of magic energy, with 40 units of magic energy. (In comparison Shirou had 20-30 units, Rin 500 units with a max of 1000, same for Sakura) With that amount of energy, Cathrerine would be able to provide comfortably for Servants with Mana ranks of B or lower, though at B she will begin to feel strain in doing so. Catherine was born in France to a one night stand in the Parisian red light district. Her father took her in after her mother died in childbirth. She was chosen at the age of sixteen to become a Executor after she murdered her father, a heretic magus who had been draining the suburb they had lived in to increase his own powers, with a kitchen knife. Five years of training saw the girl grow to be an exceptional candidate, and her future would have been secure had it not been for one mistake. During her training, Catherine started a friendship with another trainee, Gertrude Baptiste. They were cordial rivals and, according to hearsay and rumors, lovers. They graduated together, and even apprenticed under the same mentor before the event. Catherine's fall occurred during her first mission, a hunt for a Vampire that had been terrorizing a remote village in the Pyrenees. It was supposed to be a simple investigate and purge, except the mission went horribly as soon as Catherine, Gertrude and their mentor stepped foot into the village. The Dead Apostle refused to show itself, taunting the group, and sending the turned villagers after the Executors in droves. Those were easily dispatched, except it allowed the Vampire to capture the girls' mentor. Trapped in the town's church, the two girls fought for a week, slowly weakening in the face of the endless horde. The final straw was the vampire sending the mentor after the girls, which broke Gertrude and allowed the vampire to possess the girl. The two possessed Exorcists now turned against Catherine and nearly killed her. In response, Catherine went into a trance like state, and when she awoke, she stood in a pile of corpses, topped with the bodies of her comrades. The Dead Apostle had fled the village already, as the Church's reinforcements arrived to find the girl who had purged the village. Subsequent examinations decided that Catherine was neither mentally, spiritually, or psychically capable working as an Exorcist. Her lower legs were beyond saving, and were replaced with prosthesis. Mentally, she was diagnosed with extreme PTSD, and suffered nightmares of her actions. Spiritually, she was deemed to weak of fate to face the foes that a an Exorcist would normally fight. Taking the news in stride, she left the Vatican, becoming a nun in a convent in the town of Redrock.
