Okay, of course if you want your character to wield magic then feel free. Just remember there should be laws and rules to magic otherwise it's just a mess. In the original role-play it was written that Ward Stones (like mini obelisks with engravings of protective runes), prevented the use of magic inside  the clearing. This was the ensure that  the Inn and its inhabitants remained  safe. Otherwise though feel free!
