Yeah, the setting was Fantasia, a world within our dreams, close enough that when we sleep we appear as phantoms there, and gain inspiration from their surroundings and sounds. In this world weapons and instruments are one thing, as Music reacts as magic. This means that a battle of the bands is a little more accurate. An Orchestral Duel is two armies clashing. The world is divided into different countries based on their style of music. A teenage boy, an up and coming composer, in our world is struck with a fever that places him into a coma. Now he lives in this world, though it may be on the brink of destruction with the release of an ancient evil that threatens to silence music forever. 

Of course if this were an actual interest I'd put more into it.
