[@Viciousmarrow] I think some aspects of the timeline are a bit of a mess TBH. Blizzard's reason for Stormwind not sending troops to help in the fight against the Scourge is that they're dealing with the disagreement between the Stonemasons and the House of Nobles and the riots which sprung up around it, but as you say Stormwind should really have been finished for several years by that point.
