[@Remipa Awesome] Even with a gaunt look to his cheeks, the vampire could still curl his lip at his enemy. Through clenched teeth he nearly growled, "Deon..." Physically Mithias could do nothing, but those faded yellow eyes glared angrily as he refuted his opponent from his seat. "You are a fool, Deon. You are a fool, and you will fail. You will undo everything I have done to promote peace between us and the humans. Every reason they have ever had to live in peace with us, to trust and revere us, will be erased with the unforgettable history of another war. The tenuous hope that they have now, that I have nurtured, will be destroyed forever if you even attempt any kind of sick mass murder scheme, and this time they will not forgive us." So it seemed Mithias fully believed in humanity's potential to wipe vampires off the face of the Earth, but was he truly a coward only motivated by fear? Maybe he was a pathetic syncophant kissing up to humanity like a slave, ignorant of the magnificent gift that had been wasted on him by his maker. Maybe he didn't know what vampires were capable of, or maybe he liked it. The thought was disgusting. Mithias took a breath. He looked tired from that little tirade. Then he said something that was slightly unexpected. "We ARE gods, Erickson... but this is not how it should be. War and subjugation are beneath us. Gods provide protection, bring order, justice... Between us, you are the one who doesn't understand your place. Your bloodline always had a misunderstanding of power. Your arrogance and greed is an insult to our potential, and you will kill us with your shortsightedness." To say that Mithias didn't fear for his own life at this point would have been a lie, but he also didn't believe that one of his allies wouldn't eventually come to his rescue. All he had to do was be patient and endure the hunger that gnawed at him from every cell in his body for as long as he could. Hopefully, his words would have some affect on Deon, even if the evil prick wouldn't admit it. Otherwise there was nothing Mithias could do to save his mortal friends. "You will fail, just like Magnus, and you'll never seen me on trial with the council, Erickson. If there even still is a council after what mayhem you threaten."
