As they see it, destroying their homeworld to destroy the X'cor fleet [i]and[/i] being forced to wipe out swathes of their own people in the process [i]just[/i] to save ten thousand lives was a terrible sacrifice, one full of regret. The vast majority of the Namilee are utterly traumatized by this and the events of the war. Pretty much everyone on the fleet is undergoing psychological counseling.

They don't want to unleash that same trauma on other species.
