Etelka was raised among the nomadic people known as the Black Army, a culture historically associated with eastern grasslands and opposition to the rule of the King. While not born to the Black Army, she was adopted by a Warrior-Priest upon being found in the ruins of a city that had fallen to the Elemental King's army. The Shamanic Priest noticed her strange affiliation with light. She was raised her in the ways of Shamanism, and given as much instruction as was possible in her light manipulation abilies, until age 16, in which she was considered an adult by the laws of the Black Army, and ready to go about in her own life and contribute the the battles of the Black Army. However, during her latest raid, Etelka was separated and lost in lands far from those of the Black Army, and has since been wandering, hiding both her affiliation with the Black Army and her elemental powers.
