A small sigh left him as she began to cry. That creeps actions hurt her more than he had expected and now he felt bad. Every tear that rolled down her cheek made his heart ache. He sighed again, this time slowly letting her go and leading her by her hand to the couch. Sitting down he didn’t give her a moment to think before he pulled her onto his lap and wrapped an arm around her waist while the other grabbed a nearby blanket. Tossing the blanket over her and then wrapped his arms around her pulling her to his chest. His right hand rubbed her back and his left hand rested against her head guiding it to rest on his shoulder. “It’s okay. I’m here for you, you’re fine. There’s no reason to think about what would have happened if I wasn’t here because I was.” His voice was soft and reassuring in the silent room. “Cry as much as you need to Freya, I’m here for you.” His hand returned to gently stroking her head.
