As Xavier accelerated, he tried to keep up with him. The emphasis clearly was on the word 'tried' as he wasn't [i]that[/i] successful with it. He started to fall behind.

"Wait for me" Madawc called shortly after they had hit the main road. Then there was a thump approaching Xavier's ears from behind. The horse Madawc had been riding on just seconds before now was getting up again without any trouble, but the demonically infested man lay right in the dirt, his back hurting and presenting an amusing scene to each and every bypasser. It hadn't really thrown him off, it had rather collapsed beneath him.
