To be honest, I can see a good working relationship between the two nations, and maybe even a mild alliance, but I also know that neither will ever fully trust eachother. The Imperium is too expansionist to ever truly look at the Xim and think "I will never betray them", and the Xim are just too unpredictable to be trustworthy :lol
