Takumi Minamoto - Call to Action 3rd Ward, Sakura Clinic, Fourth Floor
"Pfft. Like morning push-ups are going to help," Takumi waved that suggestion away with a gesture of his hand, "No... The only morning ritual going on here is the one I use to absorb everyone's energy and good cheer in the morning!" He made sure to tilt his head to the side like a cute anime girl, and to enunciate his words with the utmost brightness. He took a sip from his drink before setting it down to listen attentively to the rest of his answers to his inquiry. Once most of the concerned parties had spoken, the young man began idly swished the remaining water in his cup, apparently pondering his siblings' answers to his question if that look on his face was anything to go by. At least Hana could see that he'd taken that 'relax' bit to heart; so far his reaction was as benign as could be expected. 'On the bright side, nobody can say I didn't try,' the half-ghoul quickly downed the last bit of liquid in his cup before standing to get a refill. He supposed that it was only natural for most of the answers to be in the negative; Everyone else seemed to have civilian lives to return to, so it's not as if they could suddenly take on a great responsibility like this without a major upheaval in their daily lives. 'Yikes,' he thought, a realization coming to him for the nth time, 'What have I been doing all these years?' If the Old Man was alive, he'd probably be kinda pissed. But thatt was fitting, in a way; he'd always had a knack for somehow managing to disappoint people when it counted the most, ha. He hummed a jaunty tune he'd heard on the radio as he filled his cup back up. Turning back to his compatriots, he spoke up. "Well, I guess you guys gotta do what you gotta do," his voice carrying just enough awkward airiness and genuine sincerity to make it seem, well, genuinely awkward, "S'not like I can fault you for it." Granted he hadn't committed to contributing to the upbringing of these kids either, so that was as much a statement of mutual understanding as it was an absolution of any guilt. That isn't to say it hadn't crossed his mind but, like most things, Takumi would cross that bridge only if he had to. While he didn't like how Hana was taking on all the responsibility, he knew there wasn't a whole lot he could do to help. Fortunately it seemed she had everything covered to a satisfactory degree, so he could tuck that decision into the recesses of his mind. With that in mind - or rather, not in mind - he returned to his seat just in time to register the first item on Hana's agenda. "I wouldn't be surprised if he's dead," the ex-CCG commented, taking an unconcerned quaff. From what he could infer, this 'Tooru' was one of the kids, which really didn't help his chances in Takumi's mind. Children are known neither for possessing information of great value or powerful kagune to farm for briefcases. Best case scenario was that this kid knew how to bluff, or that the agents with ownership rights feel uncomfortable with the situation and are currently trying to delay it. "I'll help how I can, but I'm not hurting any investigators," he was very adamant about that; although maybe not for the reason that he himself thought. He perked up quite a bit when Itsuki mentioned visiting a friend of his. "S'it some kinda lady caller?" Takumi asked innocently, setting down his drink and looking to Itsuki with surprised wide eyes. Itsuki himself said that he hadn't been much of a people person, so this friend was obviously someone who'd torn down his walls. And combined with that 'tall, dank and mysterious' aesthetic that he seemed so fond of... Yes, this was obviously the correct conclusion. Takumi was now invested in this situation, but whether this was a good or bad thing was up for debate. "Oh, I've got some spare clothes handy," he piped up. Considering that Itsuki was only about two centimeters taller than he was, what fit him should, in theory, fit the other. "I'm not sure black's your color though."
