Give Me A Bullet
About
Because this story will be very localized and not sandbox, there is very little world building done. You are free to play with anything I have not explicitly stated. Make up alien races, governments, tech, etc. Most of the various points are not necessary for the story but it does add a breath of fresh air to the story, so go right ahead.
Location: A space trading hub named Bequa. It's a very prominent Hub on some pretty major routes. Both Military (from the IFP and other governments) and traders use it.
The situation: Your team has been on Bequa Station for three days. The military vessel you're stationed on, AU8291 berthed there for shore leave. It's planned that you'll be there for a grand total of a week. Just five more days. On the third day the station goes into a partial lockdown. The station's security issues a general alert and asks everyone to remain where they are. There's a minor uptick in security but nothing major.
After a while another call comes in. But this one's private. And it's from your SO. It's an order to return to your ship AU8291 immediately. After you finished reading your new orders the Station goes on full lockdown. Heavy metal doors seals off individual areas and there's a new request for everyone to remain calm. The Commander of Bequa personally escorts you back to your vessel. Once there you're given orders to aid said Commander. After you gear up he takes you and your team to an innocuous area of the station. He types in the keypad and the heavy blast doors open. Inside is a scene right out of a horror movie. Your job? Hunt down whatever did this and soon.

Races
Humans
Humans come in various shapes, sizes, ethnicities and species.
???Not human species. They're out there. >>
A.I.
Artificial Intelligences are unanimously recognized as living things. As such they have full status as living beings equal to other carbon and silicon based lifeforms. Not all A.I.s are created equal. A.I.s can be in the forms or Robots. They can be localized to a specific system or they can roam the inter-web.
Augmentations
Are common place. The views on Augs differ wildly. In some places they are commonly accepted. They're like glasses. Some people have them, some people don't. It's no big deal. Other places Augs are outcasts. Viewed as lesser beings because of their enhancements.
Genetic Augmentations
Done before birth. Typically known as designer babies.
Mechanical Augmentations
Usually done if the recipient has had major trauma. Most recipients of these are factory workers and soldiers.
Bio-Mechanical Augmentations
Same as above. But these sweet Augs are nearly impossible to tell apart from normal body parts. They are very, very expensive.
Intelligence Augmentations
Chips added into the brain to enhance intelligence. The most rudimentary is just a quick up-link to the interweb. But the more money you spend the more intelligent you actually get.
Governments
Inter-Federation of Planets
The largest alliance of Planets. They form the core systems including Sol. As such they act as a galactic peace keeping organization.
Government AIf someone wants to add another, go ahead.
Government B.
Bequa Station
The main Hub
Cargo
Living Quarters
The Bazaar
Docking
Dinning Area
Command Deck
Production/Manufacturing
Water Treatment
Life Support

Open Positions
I'm looking for 3-4 people. Because this is a small group I'm not making their first come first serve. You will have to apply via a writing sample. There is no set CS. You Must include the following but you can have more:
Leader of the Team: @Blue Demon
Second in Command (One Applicant)
Position #3 (One applicant)
Position #4 (One applicant)
(Possible 5th Position)
- Position you're applying for.
- Character name and rank.
- Brief physical description (or realistic photo. If it's just armor you still need the description. No anime)
- Brief personality profile.
- And most important a writing sample.
Leader of the Team: @Blue Demon
Second in Command (One Applicant)
Position #3 (One applicant)
Position #4 (One applicant)
(Possible 5th Position)
There will be a 24 48 hour waiting period for uncontested character sheets. If no one submits a character sheet for the same position you'll be automatically accepted.
Judging standards. I judge on two things. First is whether or not you have included all aspects of the CS that I asked for. The second is quality of your writing sample. Lastly is commitment. I will check your other RPs (if you are not new to the site.) If you have a habit of dropping out after a few posts I will not choose you. This RP relies on commitment. Once all positions are taken I will not be reopening this. If someone drops out their character dies. If everyone drops out before the end, everyone dies and that's the new end. So be sure if you join this you wont drop out prematurely.
If you are not accepted for the position you applied for, you may apply again for another position (if there are still any that are open). I'd really love to accept everyone but this will only work as a small group. Thus if we have more interest than open positions (which we do) I will have to turn away people. Just because I turn you away doesn't mean you're a bad writer or that I don't want to write with you. It's just because there are no more open positions.
