I have a question about this. They're not some kind of magical diseases that are somehow able to infect any aliens, are they? I mean, do you use cocktails of different diseases that specifically target certain races or even diseases that are specifically engineered to infect multiple specific hosts? Because I don't think that, for example, any of your diseases would likely be able to infect a species you haven't had any prior contact with (or whom you haven't had the chance to study the biology of) simply because pathogens don't really often cross species boundaries like that.
Nah. The Xim would have to study the genome and immune system of a species first, then concoct a virus that would harm them by targeting the weak-points in that species' physical make-up. It would take over an IC year of study, maybe two or three, to even come close to creating a viable disease. So I won't be able to just start a plague right off the bat :lol After all my preaching about balance, do you honestly think I would have something that can kill races automatically? xD That wouldn't be right, so I'm going to make sure it takes a good bit of time for the Xim to manufacture a decent disease for any given species. Well, with the exception of humanity. They were at war with humans for 50 years, and so they have probably already created an anti-human plague, but I'm not sure if they would have unleashed it or not. Afterall, even the Xim aren't monsters, and they want the humans alive for transformation.
