[@Hael] A species which lives in stars, flies around in hard light ships. Either that or a Photino Bird race but they're made of hard light and interact with the world much more than the Photino Birds ever did. Like I said, way overboard, especially because they take science and slap it in the face. 
I can come up with some non-humanoids but it'll take me awhile, not that there is any hurry right?
