Still, he took what he could from the mood and decided to enjoy the taste of bloodless air. Raising a hand near his chest, he generated a few shards of metal and let them float about for several seconds. Indeed, he had the ability to manipulate metal, though he had no idea on whether he would be able to expand upon his gift. He could feel it- he could create much more metal, but creating shards in the middle of a peaceful house was not a good idea. Hephaestus decided to save the testing of his abilities to their full extent once he got outside again. It would be problematic if his weight destroyed one of the chairs, so he decided to try making his own. Composing shards of metal, he directed his hand to one side of the table and slowly formed his very own chair. It took a bit to get used to constructing one quickly, but he quickly got the hand of it and ended up making a chair that looked more like a throne. So much for not showing off.
