Without a signal of any kind, boulders began to rain down from the sky. It was possible Shadow and Egwene had noticed something was peculiar as large shadows began to be casted onto the field. Large boulders of heavy mass impacted the field and the farmer's house! Some of the boulders in the field exploded once contact was made on the surface; their broken parts scattered in all directions. Egwegen and Shadow possibly were hit by the scatter shot of some of the boulders. The field's area was trashed with craters and chunks of rocks. The sound of boulders hitting dirt was heavy and alarming. One massive boulder managed to crash through the living room of the farmer's house. It left a huge gaping hole in the roof; the ceiling began to crumble while sending dust to its floor. Most of the furniture was destroyed and had burst into tiny splinters and pieces of wood. The dinner party might have been grazed by the after effect. "Shit! They're here! I apologize; I should have checked the time!" The farmer immediately climbed up from his seat. Pieces of wood had struck him, but he managed to still stand. "I don't trust this house to be great cover for a meteor shower," Ezekiel commented. Snatching his shotgun, he ushered everyone to leave. "Let's hurry and get out of here! Safest place is out in the fields! At least we'll have the chance of evasion!" The farmer glanced at one of the kitchen windows. After giving out a sudden cry, he charged straight forward. His shoulder smashed the glass as he jumped outside. Ezekiel landed on the dirt with a thud and a few bruises. "C'mon, guys. Your turn..." he whined.
The scarecrow had been struck by an independent rock that had broke out from its larger mass. His left arm was beginning to fall apart save for a few threads keeping it together. Straw had poured out onto the floor as he hissed aggressively. "How did they- was it Castle?" He asked himself. "Show yourself, Castle!" The scarecrow looked around the destroyed field for answers. He could not find the man responsible for the attack. "This doesn't make sense. How was he able to pull this shit off?" Shadow then became distracted by the boulder striking down the house. "No! Ezekiel! Your guys can handle themselves, right?" His hoarse voice was directed towards Egwene. "Damn, and I actually liked that house. It was really something," a cocky voice had spoken out loud. Shadow spun around to the source of the voice. The straw monster was drew his breath sharply and gripped his hanging arm tightly. "The time has come. Like I said, everything and everyone will be gone." As the sun was beginning to be hidden away by the hills, the bandits had made their stand. They had half of the red sun as their background. The bandits stood in unison with condescending expression. Their eyes were clearly void of sympathy and instead were filled by chaotic rage. By simple counting, there were 12 outlaws readied to remodel the land in their ugly fashion. The man in the middle of the line was no doubt the leader. He placed his hips at his side and googled at the fox girl. "Ooh, what's this?" The leader slapped his knee in amusement. "Don't tell me the farmer actually hired you! That is killer! Scary, I guess you couldn't have done this yourself, huh?" The leader laughed which caused his entire line to chime in. "Castle..." the scarecrow grunted. "Listen, girly. You can either run like hell, join us, or die. I don't care," Castle loudly shouted. He threw his arm out from his body and gestured a thumbs down. "Go nuts, boys!" Nine of the bandits on the hills simultaneously cried out; they lifted their swords and ran down the hill. They were prepared to begin striking down the fox girl and the scarecrow.
