Malkai trodden through the desert in a linear path. He purposely avoided taking the main roads; a lone elephant was a ripe target for hunters and predators. Occasionally he spotted some packs of Hyenas, but a good roar kept them at bay. That being said, Falchion would occasionally land from his scouting and report to Malkai, giving him unfortunate news. [b]「Roaming orcs. Men, women, children, and elderly; may just be a clan. But they are large and close by, they have camels and attack dogs. There is no banner, so they do not have a war chief.」[/b] Malkai was more concerned about the fact they were just there, even if they weren't a warband. Malkai has found that orcs are never friendly, even if they're just a nomadic clan. If anything, Malkai was in more danger from a clan of hunters than he was from a gang of warriors.

Not wanting to intercept the group, Malkai had to divert his path. However doing so would mean taking a bit longer to reach the city of Saphire, but he chose to do this just so they could avoid a fight. As he walked, he heard the two ladies on his back complain about the weather conditions, which got an elephant sigh from Malkai. Then he raised his trunk and poked the both of them in the chest. [color=00a651]「Endure Elements. Endure Elements.」[/color] Malkai said in druidic as he gave the two girls that spell so the heat of the desert weren't so much of a bother. But just for himself, he also cast one more spell. [color=00a651]「Create Water」[/color] Water came splashing down on Malkai to help keep him cool... Right on his back were Vivian and Catarina was, making them soaking wet. If only he could see them now.

With the thugs captured Veridis put his rapier away, fixing his clothes and looking at his saviors. That wouldn't have gone nearly as well if they didn't step in and help him. He was going to thank them properly when they seemed to have ignored him in favor of interrogating the thugs. This just made Veridis smirk. [color=7ea7d8]"Ah. Well, these women are certainly dedicated."[/color] Veridis decided that he could put his skills to good use and went over to talk to the thugs. As he walked up he did a quick hand motion as he just cast Glibness on himself, making him a [i]superb[/i] liar, on top of his already quite high bluffing ability. [color=7ea7d8]"Gentleman, now that we're in a more comfortable setting, why don't you tell us your troubles and what you know about the city. As a newcomer, I would love a guide of the cities veritable population. I promise that if you cooperate, I will ensure these women do no harm to you. You may even be rewarded."[/color] Veridis sound so certain, so sincere, that even the two women who are threatening the men might believe Veridis's words. But such was the power of Glibness. He could claim that he was the secret king of the world and with this spell, his words would hold some merit.
