my secret is watching mostly just clips of tv shows i have watched in the past, a few people ranting about non-political things i find interesting, and a few of those guys who do video game shit but in short videos so i don't have to sit there and watch a bunch. 

I don't like listening to political rants on youtube at all. If you have a book and I have an interest in your philosophy then great, I'll read the book. But to sit there and listen to some random fuck spout his ideas in a video? I don't have interest. I suppose that does a lot to keep random political crap from popping up in my recommendations.
