Max sighed as she sat in the bus on her way to the local diner named Two Whales. Whenever she was there it felt like the old times back when she was a child. Always hanging around with Chloe and sneaking some food from Joyce. That reminded her of the good old pirate moments as well. But before she could think a little more about it the bus stopped just in the right spot so that Max got up fast before she left the bus. Her eyes darted to the Diner in front of her, but she also took a litte look in Frank's RV direction. Maybe Rachel was still in there, but Max would never dare to go to that RV. Not alone to be exact. That's why she just walked directly to the stairs to make her way into the diner. Still to early since Chloe and Rachel weren't here. It was always ike a little deja-vu to her since she was the first one all the times. She never learnd from that. "Hey Joyce." The smile on her lips grew a bit more as Joyce looked in her direction with a gentle and warm smile. It felt like Max was home whenever Joyce was around. Well, she sometimes considered her as a second mother since Joyce was always so heartwarming. "Max it is nice to see you. Take a seat." With a short nod Max walked over to the usual booth where she took a seat and leand back. Her eyes overlooked the place as she had time enough for that. It wasn't like Chloe and Rachel would be here in time so she was able to observe the people. Soon enough she caught herself thinking about some other things while her eyes darted to the window. She just starred at nothing particularly with her mind being anywhere but here. Maybe Max was thinking to much sometimes and mostly of what happened a year ago. With a sigh she leaned forward and rested her head in her hand while her eyes never leaved the window. She even missed that a special person has entered the diner but was soon enough reminded as her ears could make out that someone took a seat in front of her. A bit slow her mind got out of the random thoughts but just in time as Chloe spoke up. The fainted smile on her lips found its way back as Max looked over to Chloe. Dressed like the punk she was. "Hey Chloe. Just the usual minutes I guess." But she wasn't mad at her for being late again so that it was okay. Again she caught herself getting a little distracted by the thaugt of how surreal it still was to just sit here with her when the events from last year still were running through her mind. She could have lost her completely and Chloe could have lost Rachel. Max also was thinking about Kate. The wonderful and always helpful Kate. Before she drifted more up into her thoughts she shook her head a little. "I am stil waiting for the time to come when you will be in time, you know!?" A teasing smirk forming on Maxs' lips. "Hope you can wait that long." Joyce approached the table just in time to overhear anything and to make a comment right away. "I have the same hopes." Max couldn't resist to roll with that just to tease Chloe a bit more. But they didn't hold on to that for long mostly because of the rumors Maxs' stomach let out. Her cheeks got a little red at that. "Seems my stomach wants some from your tasty Belgian Waffles." It was always hard to decide what to eat but sometimes her sweat tooth decided on itself.
