Horrifying not gross.

Example: 'the dark fairy got to work making the werewolf believe it is the full moon. The wolf changes to the bestal form and before it can even howl in pain it finds itself passed out. 
The dark fairy gives it a mercy kill before dragging the body to the wendigo. 
Then the fur is given to the waiting scientist' 

See the implication is horrifying enough without adding details to how the fur was removed.
