[@Hekazu], it was erroneously a +6, rather it is a +4 to damage hence why the roll was reduced by two, but even then it is a sizable value. My role is mostly striker-defender as it is.

As for my array, one of those is not as it seems, but I did roll quite well overall, so I am finding myself in a good place between the boons of variant human and a feat from it.

You are the party's only dedicated spellcaster, so I would say to run wild with it, perhaps even multiclassing into the Unearthed Arcana shadow themed sorcerer.
