The wind that had pushed against the ship, not playfully but with gathering strength, saw no reason to dwindle. The air became thick with salt, carried by a gale that could only sing a single note. It was a sea storm promising nothing but hardship and tale of recovery for anyone that made it out with their skin. The young boy was fascinated, despite the fact that death stared him in the eyes. His father was below deck, to busy protecting his glass creations to watch his only child. The wind arose to push the still waters to choppy, which morphed into mountains of angry waves. The four veteran sailors on board struggled to get the sails down, and to tie them off. They slipped on the rain soaked deck. When the others heard and saw how frightened the sailors were, they panicked. The wind slammed the rain into their faces like tiny stones and pushed their hoods back. The ship pressed, first up waves at forty-five degrees, and then crashed down jarring their bones. At one point the waves spun the vessel sideways. They held tightly onto the mast, onto ropes, onto anything, but the young boy was sent careening off the side, entering the dark embrace of the raging waters. Nero's eyes snapped open, his heart beating so fast that he could feel it in his throat. Another damn dream, one that he wasn't sure belonged to him at all. Around him, the hustle and bustle of the Shinigami crew members upon Boken no Tensen went on as normal. Nero found himself in the center of the ships deck, his usual spot to curl up and sleep in the sun as if he was a cat, or lizard. "Stop lazing about in the sun, or that coffee bean-brown skin of yours is gonna become a darker shade of black coffee." drawled a female Shinigami who stood over him. Nero made no effort to reassure her that he had heard, and she simply left, head shaking in apparent disappoint. Nero was usually much more upbeat, but the dream seemed to drain him. With no one to confide to, he kept it to himself, hiding it under a mask of jokes and sarcasm. It had been a few hours since Unagi had summoned his Bankai and left for the Captains Meeting. Despite his curiosity, Nero swore to keep himself from asking questions about it, or even seeking out his Captain to find out. As if on que though, a Hell Butterfly lazily fluttered by, landing on his nose before and displaying a message from the Captain. Nero frowned, what was the meeting about that had "his‘’ Captain of all people leaving. It made no sense, they were the 9th Division, they were the last line of defense, it had to have been something important. "Oi! Round up, were disembarking! Nero called out in a booming voice. Within seconds the crew was at it, working to lower the ship to ground level above thier barracks. Nero didn't wait, and without much of a word, Nero jumped of the edge, his mind flashing back to the dream for a second before Flash-Stepping from building top to building top before finding his Captain and Squad 11's Captain, Kenshin, and landing in front of them. "Captains." Nero said simply, bowing slightly out of respect before turning to his own. "Oi, Captain Unagi, leaving? For what reason? Nero said indignantly at his Captain, hands in his pocket.
