Personality: Wise, and patient. Rachel’s long years in military service have seen her come into contact with innumerable people of all types and dispositions and she has seen much of the world. She is capable of swift and decisive action but does not rush into things unless necessary. Her wisdom and experience are highly respected.

History: Rachel’s was the first child born in the capital of Renais after the War of the stones. However, her father was killed during the first attack on Reanis and her mother died during childbirth. Due to her father’s military status she was made a ward of the state and allowed to attend the military boarding schools after they were rebuilt in the capital. As soon as she was able she applied for stave and healing training. After showing some aptitude she was accepted later graduated at the age of 18. She entered the military and was assigned to various regiments, mostly aimed at the relief efforts still ongoing since the War of the Stones.
At the onset of the Carcino campaign, Rachel’s Regiment, the 8th Royal Lancers, were put on permanent standby near the border between the two countries. When given the word they were the first Renais troops to cross in Carcino territory and waged the only pitched battle of the liberation. Rachel did her duty flawlessly but during the closing moments of the battle she took a flaming arrow to the lower part of her left leg. The leg was saved but it gave her a permanent limp.
Following the closing of the Carcino campaign Rachel was transferred to the Royal guard in the Renias Capital. It was an honorary position and she spent most of her time teaching at the various academies of military discipline scattered around the city. During this time she grew fond of a young student, Faran. who like her was an orphan and ward of the state, In training to become a Caviler of Renais. She took the young man under her wing and shared all of her experience with him.
