Oh yes.

I am quite well aware of that. She probably can't bend very well at the moment. By 'basic fire-bending' I mean the forms. She knows most of the basic forms and movements, but she can't really do much aside from make a little puff of smoke at the moment.

that's what I'm hoping for her to develop over the course of the RP. That bit about literally exploding on someone was more or less an exaggeration.
