I'd say so! They might even have some arguments concerning some treatments x3 Theyd probably both be called up in some situations as a way to create a more well rounded expertise for the ship. I'd also imagine she took more of a scientist role on the ship to his pseudo military/police work.

I mean, don't we need a gay guy who is hardcore into plants? (Yeah, making a botanist, someone needs to know how to maintain all this food in space, how to preserve some awesome plants, and to be there to look at possible alien greenery, ohh, ahh).

I tried to tag everyone relevant to my questions. Hi, I'm interested in this RP if you're still accepting. I just finished reading the OOC so my questions are very specific and hopefully will have simple answers, so I will try to be concise.

The first question is the most vital for my character creation: are we allowed to have multiple characters? If the answer is no then you can skip down to the starred paragraph and ignore this next bit, cuz I'm flexible like that, but for now I'm going to assume it's okay because there wasn't any mention of it in the rules. Also, I love pineapples.

Two brothers, both scientists who specialize in complimentary fields. Because of their familial relationship, bringing them on board the Vitae as a unit was something of a controversy. Since they both proved to be valuable assets, the condition of their waking state is that they are only allowed to bring one family member in cryo between the two of them. I'll develop this more in my CS's if I get the okay on 2 characters, otherwise just read the rest of this post as if I were only talking about one character.

**The character(s) I had in mind are a pair of Nagasaki scientists, specifically a robotics technician and a programming technician who would most likely be working under Survivor's character Okasaki. I know Heat has already discussed this with another player but I also thought they could have been some of the key scientists who helped to build and program Michael.

They will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing Vitae's many automated systems, since robots aren't always humanoid, and vary in design depending on what role they are intended to fulfill. In addition to autonomous android-type bots designed as helpers I'm sure there are hundreds of different robots in charge of basic ship maintenance, some that interact directly with the humans on board and many more that work behind the scenes in order to create a sustainable and comfortable environment. Technically they would be working for the military, but the majority of their job duties would not necessarily directly correlate with military machinery, unless called upon for a specific service of course.

I think that's it, please tell me your thoughts.

@Raxacoricofallapatorius 1) If you appear to be able to manage more than one, you can have more than one.

2) If it is the condition that both are chosen due to their skills then that'd be acceptable and then the rule of three can still apply.

3) What'd probably happen in regards to the military, as as they are more maintenance than development they'd likely be given a rank and military training just to fit into the hierarchy of the way engineering personnel are being done (This rule only applies to Engineering personnel because you really don't want issues with the command structure when the ships life is on the line). The programmer could likely remain being classed as a civillian.

@Sep That does answer most of my questions actually, and I am confident in my ability to play two characters as long as no one objects to it. I figured they'd probably receive military classification, but if you only require the robotics technician to have a rank then I would be grateful if you or @The Survivor would assign one to him, either now or after I create his CS.

As for the rule of three, would it be three each for a total of six? That seems like a lot, so perhaps only three between the two of them, otherwise it could breed resentment among other crew members, for those who were forced to leave some of their loved ones behind, it doesn't seem fair.

Ay, Sep, my bio is turning out to be pretty long and follows most of my character's life. It's near completion, but I don't know if it matters to you, or if you want to me reduce it down to bare details. I'm just getting into to it, haha.

@Sep does our ship have it's own gravity well?

@Raxacoricofallapatorius comes down to earning, both brothers earned the right but remember this comes down to eligible willing family members.
