Background: A boy with a spark in his eyes since he was young. His family thought it strange how he had almost never cried as a baby, always smiling and rolling with what life gave him. He wanted a pokemon since the age of 7, when one of his teacher's had their son show off his pokemon. The boy let the kids play with his pokemon, and Nick had his fun with a Manectric, playing fetch and petting it. The feeling of the tiny shocks as he brushed it's fur were oddly comforting and this experience gave him a heavy bias for Electric types. 

By the time he was ready to go on an adventure, he headed to he lab to receive his first pokemon, but the professor had no electric types to give out, and the young and defeated (and very shortsighted) Nick refused anything else and ran back home. He didn't try again until he was 17 out of stubbornness and a little shame at the childish outburst, and he didn't want to go to the professor so he wouldn't have to relive that moment. He instead went to a box on the side of the road labeled "Free  to a good home" with a single Shinx in it. He picked it up and brought it home, raising it as a pet for a few days, but when a Poocheyena got into the yard, the Shinx's fighting spirit shone brightly as they battled. By the time the fight ended, Nick had to pry the little guy off of the poor fainted Poochyena. He knew this little guy was his ticket out and made his goodbyes to his mother and father and moved onto his adventure. First stop: Haystock Town.

Shinx (Rivalry)
-Male
-The first pokemon Nick had, and it's his little buddy. It was one of the newborns from his neighbor's Luxio's litter and it was too cute to pass up. He swapped 200p on the spot and copped the little guy, igniting his love for electric types. This guy is very fierce in battles, often overcomitting (he had to be pried off of a fainted poocheyena when they first started!) 
Pichu (Static)
-Male
- Pichu was the first pokemon that Nick actually caught. It was fairly easy, as it kept injuring itself volt tackling and tripping. He's a clumsy little guy and still hasn't gotten the hang of holding onto things for long periods of time. 
-Knows Volt Tackle
Choose 2 Pokemon at their basic form and no dream abilities; the exception to this is when their abilities are deemed not that useful within the role play. One of the pokemon is allowed one move that can be learned through breeding/move tutor/TM at the start.
 
Trainer Perks:
Depending on the decisions you make during the RP you may be granted special perks that can aid you on your pokemon adventure. These perks can range from having all your pokemon stronger in battle to having a better chance of finding rarer pokemon to being able to breed more pokemon at once.
