John stands at a good 6'3 and is built like a brick shit house. His body is covered in little scars, mostly from his youth and early into his military career. While historically he kept his hair cut closely to his head he has let it grow out it recent months, even shaving lagging behind. It's very common to see bags under his eyes and time has left its mark on him, graying hair and frown lines betraying his age. John has no specific style, wearing the same close he wore ten, twenty years ago. T-shirts, heavy jackets, sweaters, jeans, and boots are the mainstay.

Jaded, tired, and pessimistic, John isn't exactly a barrel of fun to be around. He does not hide behind words and always speaks plainly, even if it would be in his better interests to stay his tongue. However he gives praise where its due and helps out when he can despite his prickly exterior.
