Personality Profile: Kichirō is a positive minded individual who takes his job seriously. He focuses on his work at hand and works hard to motivate others through positive words of encouragement rather than threats of discipline or punishments. On occasion, he has found the need to resort to threats, but prefers not to. He is confident in his abilities and in those he has worked with. Once he gets to know the people around him, he learns their traits and knows if they are trustworthy. Trust is something, former Lieutenant Takagi will offer to anyone, given the benefit of the doubt. Violate that trust, and he will hold that person in contempt. They will never regain the Lieutenant's trust; thought of as a low life. Background: Kichirō was born in 2021 in Gifu City, Gifu prefecture, Japan. His father worked as an administrator at Gifu Central Hospital. Kichirō graduated from secondary education at the top of his class in 2039 and received an appointment to the Naval Academy at Etajima City, Hiroshima prefecture. He spent four years at the Naval Academy graduating with a degree in Information Technology. Upon graduation from the Academy, Kichirō was commissioned an Ensign in the Japanese Martime Self Defense Force. He then attended Special Boarding Unit School and Special Security Program also at Etajima City where he trained on the procedures and techniques used by Japan's premier special operations naval unit, similar to the US Navy SEALs and the United Kingdom's Special Boat Service (SBS). He spent roughly two years in these two schools before entering the Special Boarding Unit in the Japanese Maritime Special Defense Force. Upon completion of this training, Kichirō received his promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade (LtJG). From an early age, Kichirō began studying Shōrin-ryū, a popular Okinawan Karate form. He has been practicing it ever since and currently holds 3rd dan in this martial art form; equivalent to a third degree black belt. He was assigned as Platoon Commander of 5 Platoon, X Squadron. The unit saw deployments to the Phillippines, Malaysia, South Korea, Indonesia and other classified locations in 2046 and 2047. In 2047, Kichirō was promoted to Lieutenant and transferred to the SBU's Headquarters Squadron for two years. In 2049, Kichirō returned as Platoon Commander of 1 Platoon, C Squadron and saw deployments to Kazhakstan, Uganda, Iran, Angola, Sudan, Somalia and several other classified locations. In 2053, Kichirō ended his time in the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force at the age of 32. He had seen significant action as a special operator for Japan and was interested in putting his skills to work in the private sector. He heard about Alamo Scouts while working on an assignment in East Africa in 2051. He thought about getting out of the Navy several times before making his decision and doing it. Currently, Kichirō is a Long Range Reconnaissance and Surveillance (LRRS) Team Leader working for Alamo Scouts out of Forward Operating Base ROBERTSON near Darwin, Australia.
