He wandered, he thought, he appreciated the beauty that life had to offer, while everyone else simply shied away from him, as was usually the case. He heard the rumors and the whispers of a 'heroes only' party that evening and merely scoffed at The Mayweather's pettiness. It was like they were openly issuing a challenge for his classmates to crash the party, but he wouldn't stoop to their level, he knew when he was unwanted, and he didn't care enough to try really. As night fell, he found himself up in the branches of a tree near the auditorium, his mindscape a wandering haven for the colors and auras of those who passed beneath him. Elijah of course, remained undetected, a silent wraith to the student's gossip and excitement that was sure to fill the evening. Recounting the day's events, his mind wandered to Klaus' final words to him "Oh, but Masterson? Do not threaten me again or you will not live to regret it." The line was merely for show, to make his followers believe him to be the undefeated leader that he was. Perhaps he would not live long enough to regret saying such a statement, 'Don't make promises you can't keep Untergang...' Elijah's thoughts were suddenly intruded as he noticed a peculiar aura, one filled with...sadness, loneliness...hopeless abandon perhaps? It disappeared into the school, purportedly the auditorium's back entrance. How peculiar that a wandering soul would find their way into a room that was normally locked, unless of course they had special access. That was when it hit him, that was Eliana Lovelace, he thought her aura to be familiar, though he'd never seen it in such a state of depravity. However, he wasn't interested enough to follow the girl, and merely kept to himself; that is, until the music began to play. He opened his ears to the song, a sad melody of a sad soul, only such beauty could be played by something so tragic. So the girl was deeply troubled then? He sat back, merely listening to the tune, all that inner pain and turmoil channeled into one song, then another curiosity came out of nowhere. A rather uninteresting aura, someone who probably sought after the music? She was new, he hadn't seen her before, thus his interest was lacking as she found her way into the auditorium. More time passed and it seemed the music was beginning to draw even more interesting individuals. Another wandering soul, an amalgam of colors as their aura passed beneath Elijah's very tree. He recognized the aura as Lucas, one of his classmates. Though Elijah had never personally spoken to the young man, as far as he was concerned, his temper was just as strong as Elijah's yet far from controlled as he was prone to frequent outbursts. He was very clearly drunk and injured, a dripping trail of his residual aura falling like drops of rain in the young man's wake before he collapsed against the school building. He knew of the feud between Lucas and Eliana, if only he knew that she was the one inside, or if only she knew that he was outside. Elijah was tempted to give his classmate aid, but stayed himself when he noticed the change in Lucas' aura. It was...joy? For the amount of intoxication, anger, pain, sadness, and the other emotions that clustered into his aura, joy suddenly became the most prominent. It was brief before he slipped into darkness, but it was there and now that was left was the residual effects of pain and unconsciousness. Now would probably have been the best time for him to have helped his classmate, but that was when the music stopped and Elijah kept his observation.
Eliana's eyes had been closed while her song was coming to a resolution. Lux Aeterna always touched her heart, but this time playing it felt a little different. She allowed all her rushing emotions to enter this song. Her song. Everything Ellie was feeling in this moment was being released to the world as she bowed the strings and let her other hand (her left) press onto the fingerboard to keep the tone melancholy yet hopeful. Yes, this was how things should be. The years came and went and yet Dream Catcher still has not gained control over herself. Her powers and her emotions. The more time passed, the more she realized how painful being human was. The burden of wanting to be more than you'll ever be. The unfortunate circumstances of mankind being a vulnerable species, where they can be hurt by anyone they surrounded themselves by. Why did they have to feel? Why was there sadness? Hate? Love? The bad times outweighed the good, yet everyone fought to continue their meaningless lives. What else could they do? This was the only life she had, but that didn't mean the journey was easy. Perhaps, the school didn't need a student like her. The only people who would miss her was Milo and Jess. Everyone could careless if she walked campus grounds. For the most part, because of her surname, Eliana was feared. That's how things should be. At least they wouldn't talk to her because they were afraid. She could use that as a means to protect herself from the torment of being alive. Even with all these dark thoughts, she was not a quitter and knew giving up would only mean she was a disappointment to her family and a pathetic coward to everyone else. Ellie would continue. No matter how much things hurt, she needed to continue. If not to find happiness, then to harness her abilities so she could die knowing she achieved something in her sad life. Her brooding was interrupted by a silvery, yet sotto voice. Gingerly, Ellie opened her eyes and narrowed them to see who was the newcomer observing her. Forgot to lock the door... There was an Asian girl leaning up against the door, who seemed rather nervous now that her arrival was exposed. The lights of the stage and the distance made it hard for Ellie to make out any other features. Rather than make this an awkward situation, the delicate brunette welcomed her in, "I appreciate the audience... I don't play in front of many people usually." Standing up, Eliana beckoned for the girl to come closer as she began to put away her cello. Clapping her hand over mouth, Minako wondered if perhaps she should leave. Seeing the girl waving to her only increased her nervousness, though it at least told her that her presence wasn't unwelcome. When she reached the base of the stage, she glanced about. "Um, I apologize for disturbing your performance. I was just wondering who was playing, I would normally assume that most of the academy buildings would be locked at this time of night." She smiled shyly. "You play very well. You must have practiced a great deal." By the time Ellie's new acquaintance made her way to her, she had closed her case and put the seat back to the side where it belonged. Brushing her hands on her dress to take out the wrinkles from sitting down, she let her green orbs gently meet with the other girl's stare, "I've played since I was six. So yeah, I guess I've practiced a lot. I'm Eliana, by the way." Not one to give first meeting handshakes and curious that the girl didn't assume who she was, Ellie firmly asked, "Are you new here? I only ask because I mean... most people know my face. I'm the daughter of Cecilia Lovelace. She's, hm, what's the word I want to use... she's known for her strict teaching - I guess?" Picking up her case, she sighed, "Either way, you're right. These buildings are suppose to be locked but the auditorium is the safest place for me to store Charlotte. I know. I'm a dork who named her instrument." Minako gave the other girl a deep bow. The daughter of one of her potential teachers was certainly worthy of respect. "It is a great pleasure to meet you." Formalities completed, she reached up and fingered one of the cups of her headphones. "Minako Ikeda. I actually only just arrived here today, and don't really know anyone. It..." She turned glanced back the way she came. "Hasn't been the best of starts." Turning back to the girl, she smiled warmly. "And, I don't think it's strange at all. Many people give names to objects that have great meaning and importance to them. I should show you Heiwa and Kenkyo." Observing the girl quietly, Eliana caught onto her mannerisms and speech. Without a doubt, this girl had a similar upbringing like her own. Luckily, Ellie didn't have to put on the wealth "good image" act all the time. The only times she had to really was when she went to conferences with her father or was in front of her mother doing a presentation (or talking to her parents' friends). Of course, mother warned Ellie to never forget that she was a lady and that her last name was Lovelace. If anything happened to tarnish the Lovelace's reputation, it would be her head. No pressure at all. When the girl finished replying, the brunette requested, "Mind following me? I just have to keep her in safekeeping. Also, I'd love to meet..." She tried her best to pronounce the other girl's instruments' names, without offending her, "Heiwas... and Kenkyo." She was relieved when they sounded fairly decent, not perfect, but decent. Starting to walk to a door which led to the music classroom, she inquired, "Rough day?" Referring to her comment about not having the best First day. Her smiling growing warmer, Minako nodded. "Of course." Following the girl, she paused to inspect the room. "I haven't really had the... best of luck in keeping my power to myself. It is difficult when it is triggered on eye contact, and some people can find the sensation... unpleasant." Her expression became slightly forlorn. "That was why I enjoyed your music. When I was younger, we occasionally went to concerts, and my mother had learned to play the konghou before she married my father. It was... it helped a little." "Music is a beautiful thing, don't you agree?" Eliana scanned the key card above the door knob, allowing the closet to unlock. Placing her cello against the wall besides other instruments, she assured, "I'm sure it wasn't that bad, was it? But, I can relate with eye contact as a means to use one's abilities. And triggers. Yes. A lot of us have triggers." When she thought of the word 'trigger' Lucas immediately fell on her mind. Rather than get angry like she did throughout the entirety of today when she thought of him, she simply sighed. Even though it seemed like Ellie was being friendly, which she was, her guard was still up and this was simply a situational interaction. "I am aware." Minako smiled wanely. "When I looked in Gianna's eyes, apparently it pulled up some bad memories for her. And then when I met my roommate... it was... awkward." She flushed a little at the memory, the front of her body tingling slightly in remembrance of the other girl against her. Exiting the closet and making sure the door was locked, Ellie brought her head up when Minako mentioned: Gianna. Turning around and looking at the girl, she nodded, intrigued that one of the first people this new student met was the Delphina Queen, "Wow. I shouldn't be impressed but to stir anything up in Gianna that isn't... excitement... is quite the feat." She took a moment to contemplate what could have possibly happened, "Even if she won't admit it, Gia is still coping with her boyfriend's death. Do you know about what happened last year?" She waited for a response, before deciding to lead her out of the classroom, to the auditorium, and hopefully, eventually out the door. Instantly, Minako clapped a hand to her mouth. Was THAT what it was? "N-no! She didn't... tell me what it t was. What happened?" Raising an eyebrow, Eliana was surprised with how little this girl knew, "Our school is over populated now because we had to combine with our 'twin' school." She decided to take a moment to undo her hair and put it back up in a messy bun (since Ellie gets fidgety in long interactions, she plays with her hair - a lot), "When walking on campus, you probably can tell a distinct difference between people, right?" She decided to let this conversation happen on the stage (before they went down the stairs to go outside). "Mayweater is for heroes. Delphina is for villains. Ever since these schools were built there's been an ongoing feud." She rolled her eyes, more at the disappointment for being deeply involved in one herself, "The schools train us to harness our abilities but they also classify us to be either black or white. Once we graduate, we have a reputation to build - for good or evil. That's how things always were. Or well, are." She made sure to speak slow and enunciate her words so Minako could remember most, if not all, of what she was saying, "Well, last year, Delphina's buildings were burned to the ground killing some teachers and students. Who caused it? We don't know, but everyone loves to play the blame game." Now Minako really felt awful. She knew that the connection had been unusually intense for her, but if it had dragged up memories like that? Minako was definitely going to have to make it up to her somehow. "That's terrible! And I... oh, I really did make a mess of things today." As they made their way through the auditorium, Minako turned the problem over and over in her head. She couldn't imagine why somebody would go so far to burn down an entire school, it simply didn't make sense. Abruptly, she frowned. "Wait..." "Um, there's just one thing I don't understand." She glanced at Eliana, her expression puzzled. "Why did Delphina exist in the first place? It doesn't make sense that a school that teaches its students to break the law would be allowed to continue to operate." The girl did bring up a rather obvious flaw in the schools' systems, "Something that's been on my mind as well. But technically. Delphina isn't labeled as a school for Villains. It's simply our brother school that teaches the exceptionally gifted, under the law." She began making her way down the stairs and to the back door, so that she could exit and lock it, "People with powers are going to do what they want regardless of how they are labelled - so I guess, this is our parents, and their parents, and so on and so forth's way of teaching and giving us the opportunity to realize our fate before we become full-fledged adults." The more she talked about the system, the more she became frustrated with the way things were, "And let's be honest, both schools have powerful leaders. As much as the Headmistress probably wanted to shut down Delphina... there is already a strong group of Supers protecting 'their kind'. I mean, I'm good friends with the Headmaster's son. He has mind control abilities, I'm sure his father is ten times worse. You can influence anyone to make something possible if you have the means, the money, and the abilities to do so. So that's why they created an unspoken truce. 'We'll train our kind and then when they graduate, that's when everyone can deal with each other'. Pushing the exit door, with annoyance, she added, "It's fucked up, pardon my language, in my opinion." Biting her lip, Minako turned her attention back to where she was walking. Unfortunately, she was all too familiar with the concept. When working with her father, she had occasionally come across inconsistencies in their financial records. Small things, things that likely wouldn't trigger an investigation unless compiled all together. It hadn't seemed like something that her father, or her grandfather had been too concerned about when she had brought it to their attention. "I guess..." What does that mean for me then? She followed the other girl outside, shivering slightly again as the night air brushed over her skin. She really should have grabbed one of her jackets. "I'm well aware of how much influence great wealth can grant. Sometimes I think that there isn't anything that my father can't do." She clasped her arms around her chest. "That doesn't make it any less wrong. A school is at least partially responsible for the pursuits of the students it shapes."

"THANK YOU!" Ellie exclaimed. Not only has this new girl gotten the refined woman to curse but she also ignited a passionate topic within her (causing Ellie to talk louder than she usually does). "They're trying to give some order to how different people with abilities are, but this system just seems--" Not paying attention to where she was going (caught up in her own words), the brunette walked into a... leg?! After almost letting out another curse word, she tripped over a body resting on the ground. Laying on someone, who she had no idea who it was yet, Ellie slowly picked herself up and looked at the culprit. Her face, now with slight blood on it (not her's, but his'), was inches away from a sleeping, drunk Lucas. Red leaked into her cheeks as she swiftly jumped back up and brushed her black dress nervously - nothing to see here. When Eliana fell, Minako instantly dropped to her side, helping her up. "Oh, are you alright? I thought you saw him." Brushing down the other girl, she looked down at the mysterious person. She knew it was dark, but she didn't think it was THAT dark. "Who is that? Are they alright?" The girl's words started fading when Eliana observed Lucas... he was bruised, cut, and beaten up pretty badly. Did he do that to himself? She thought, feeling partially to blame. "He's fine," a voice called out to them. Elijah, finally making his presence known as the two girls exited the building, hopped out of the tree and approached them slowly. "Albeit, he looks like shit, but he'll live, though I might recommend we take him to the infirmary. He'll need those wounds looked at." He stopped mere feet away from the trio, his arms folded behind his back. "Nurse isn't here at night, but I can clean his wounds when we get there." Ellie paused for a moment to look at the intimidating pyromancer, who hardly interacted with anyone, "Can I assume you'll help us bring him there, Elijah?" She cautiously asked. "So it appears we know of each other, a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance, Ms. Lovelace," He bowed his head respectfully, "And yes, I can assist in this matter, I seem to have a habit of stumbling upon the wounded." Though he alluded to the day's earlier events, he made no attempt at delving into its details as he approached his classmate. Stopping briefly his gaze wandered towards the other young woman, "And you are?" Minako dipped her head in the direction of the newcomer. It seemed that this Elijah and Eliana didn't know each other, but knew of each other? She was certainly getting a chance to meet a lot of new people already. "Minako. I would say that it is a pleasure to meet you, but these do not seem to be appropriate circumstances." She gestured to the boy on the ground, wincing slightly as she took in his bloody hands. "Perhaps we should take him to an infirmary?" "As I had already stated," he said rather bluntly, and without skipping a beat Elijah stepped forward and crouched down. Grabbing Lucas' arm he dragged the limp body upward onto his shoulder, hefting him up as the boy stood. Though Elijah was more lithe and agile, Lucas' body wasn't extensively heavy, though it did require some amount of effort as most any body would. "I am still not fully familiar with my surroundings, if you would lead the way Ms. Lovelace, your extensive knowledge of the campus would be more than sufficient to guide us." That was more or less a lie, but Elijah played the blind man card effectively, whether Eliana would pick up on that was to be determined. The teacher's daughter intensely stared at the foreboding man that was quite tall in comparison to the girls he was assisting. If he truly did not know where he was going, how did he find them so quickly? Sure, Ellie tripped but... he came at the perfect time, as if he was 'watching' all along. Was it coincidental or did he want her to underestimate him? For a blind man, he was capable of making people quiver in fear by his very presence. Eliana did not know enough about him, or even cared to listen to his stories, to have a good judgement of what he was capable of, but she had a feeling that... Elijah Masterson was a man to tread lightly around. "Mm. Very well. And the pleasure is all mine." Leading the way, she looked around and breathed in the calm of the night. Looking straight ahead, she wondered to herself, Why am I helping the man I hate? Following the young woman, Elijah found this whole situation very curious, thus of course finally baiting him out of his post. He knew of the intense feud between these two supers, their certain clashes and arguments with one another, yet why all of a sudden was Eliana so concerned with his classmate's well-being? He was tempted to ask, yet Minako's sudden intrusion made the pyromancer hold his tongue. He wasn't about to go and start asking questions with this mysterious presence here, at least not without acquring more intel on her. As her heels resounded on the pavement, Ellie began to fumble around with her hands. The Infirmary was on the other side of campus. This would be a fairly long walk with people she hardly knew. Not wanting to make this journey anymore awkward than it needed to be, she expressed her gratitude toward Elijah, "This... might be weird for you. It's weird for me too, but thank you. We...." She tried to use her words carefully, "...Don't need anyone stumbling on a bloody Lucas, now do we? That's never a good thing for the school." Perhaps, making the two acquaintances believe she was doing this for the school's reputation was the best means to cover up her guilt. "For one so concerned about your school's reputation, you seem rather nervous." Elijah didn't have to notice the fumbling of her hands to see the fluctuations in her aura; the significance of her doubt and anxiety, "It makes one wonder if this is for the school, or for yourself, though given your status, they are just two sides to the same coin. Let us be more frank though, if either of us were concerned about our respective school's reputation, then I would not be assisiting in this matter, would I?" He let the thought dwell on her before continuing, "So why help my fellow classmate at all?" "Why shouldn't she?" Minako interjected. It seemed like a very strange question to her to ask at all. "I will admit that I don't know anything about this person, but that doesn't change the fact that he is injured. Nor do I understand the reasoning for the conflict between the schools, but if steps can be taken to end it, why shouldn't they be taken?" "Your questioning of the school's tendencies is commendable, unfortunately not everyone has such optimistic opinions and trust is hard to come by. Perhaps that could change." How? How did he know she was nervous? Eliana had to look to her side at Elijah's face. He was blunt, straight to the point, and noticed things not many people would care to see. He must have had a lot of time to hone his senses to catch onto her... feelings. He did bring up an interesting thought, that caused Ellie to contemplate over his words for a minute or two and even Minako's further questioning put the brunette in a state of reflection. "It's complicated." Crossing her arms, not minding the cold but needing to do so for some warmth, she added, "We're all in a sticky situation where we must be together, but misery loves company and this school is filled with it. And yet..." Her green orbs glanced over to the unconscious Lucas, as she thought to herself, I'm deep down the rabbit hole as well. She never did finish her sentence, not realizing her last part was in her head. Elijah nodded, "We all have our goals and agendas Ms. Lovelace, there's no need to muddle them with the monotony of petty rivalries, though most of our classmates on both sides would disagree with such sentiments." The sound of thunder resounded closeby and Elijah turned his head towards the sound, 'Speak of the Devil...' Continuing along their destined path, he knew they were fast approaching the building infirmary. For a moment, Minako was silent as she digested the pair's words. When her father had first told her that she would be going to Mayweather, she had seen it as an opportunity, a chance to expand her view of the world and meet those similar to herself. Now it seemed she had walked into a room full of explosives, just waiting for someone to set them off. "If I may," she asked slowly, "Do either of you know of the source of the conflict?" Elijah had to give pause to Minako's question, "How does any source of conflict start but from a difference of opinions, morals and beliefs. Anyone can look at the edge of the horizon to say the sun sets and shadows loom, only for someone on that horizon to say the sun rises and the light grows stronger." He breathed in deeply, "I do find all of this rather annoying though, we will be enemies soon enough, there's no need to practice against one another ahead of time. At least, not until we have reached our full potential, there is still much to learn." "That does not excuse the choices that we make. In every conflict there is a point where one chooses to follow that path, knowing they could have made another," Minako countered. "Everyone is responsible for the choices that they make, and there is always an opportunity to change the path you are on." "Though you are correct in what you say, I never stated it as an excuse, simply a reality. History has come to show us that if a group of men says the world is red, and another the world is blue, inevitably they will clash, and the victor shall paint their tale in the ink of their choosing, based off the blood of their enemies." "Because they chose to do that!" Abruptly, Minako stopped herself. It was... rare for her to get this worked up over something. "I... I apologize. I just... I understand that there are times when one has no alternative. I simply dislike conflict when it is unnecessary." Elijah stopped and turned to her, he felt no shock at her outburst, no concern or empathy towards it, but felt that a response was necessary towards it, "There is no need to apologize Minako, you are passionate in what you believe, but simply put, though there are alternatives, some men are blind to those alternatives. You should count yourself lucky, that you are one of the few so willing to open your mind to all the possibilities. Few are so privileged with such a gift, and it is with such a gift that even people like you can change the way men think." She nodded. It was at least nice that someone was willing to listen. "Since gaining my own ability, I have had to think a great deal about what it means to have it. The things that I can do are beyond what most people are capable of, which means that I am more responsible for the consequences of using them. Mistakes are a luxury that is best avoided." Her expression fell as she looked down at her feet. "I wish there were others who took such care." "You're looking at one, every day I must keep my emotions in check, lest everything I ever knew turn to ash." With that simple statement he turned and continued walking to the infirmary. Opening her mouth, but stopping herself, Eliana thought about their words once more. She didn't want to be rude and interrupt their heated discussion. The openminded thinker would be lying if she said she didn't enjoy this. She loved the words she was hearing and witnessing their cogs turning. Conversations like these were like sweet, classical music to her ears. This man was wise and indifferent, that's for sure. And he brought up a topic people would not want to hear about but in her case, she understood completely and took in his every word. He was right. She knew that. But so was Minako. The outsider of all this, who knew nothing at all and questioned people's intentions. However, there were a few things Ellie was not quite certain about - especially when it came to her own feud. "I couldn't agree more with the both of you but like you said, Elijah... we have much to learn, myself included." She bit her lip, wondering if getting personal with strangers was worth the time and effort, especially since she knew that the likelihood of them becoming friends was slim to none, "I have triggers. I'm still learning what they are exactly, but when it comes to Lucas... he sets me off in all the wrong ways. Our first meeting wasn't a pleasant one. I suppose I have a lot to learn when it comes to my emotions." A rather respectable response, the young woman was rather intelligent and wise in her words and far more willing to listen than most were. "Don't we all though?" He alluded to himself, referencing his own triggers of rage, "For every harmony, there is discord, for every darkness, there is light," In this he referenced both Elianna and Lucas, the amount of travesty in her, equaled only to the amount of joy in him. "This is the way of things, there is no black and white, only muddled shades betwixt one another, in this, we can find peace, and in this, the things we call 'triggers', are more easily dealt with. I believe, just by your actions tonight, you have already taken the first steps to your own balance." Minako glanced between the two, frowning. She wondered just what "triggers" the girl was referring to, but decided against saying anything. It sounded... personal, and she had only just met the girl. Another thought occurred to her, and her frown deepened. "Wait, what did you say his name was?" She gestured to the injured boy slung over Elijah's shoulder. The more this man talked, the more Ellie became intrigued by him. While he gave her his wisdom, she took the time to truly have a look at him. His pale skin brought out his raven black hair, and his sunglasses added to his peculiar allure. His height and presence didn't frighten her, though maybe it should. Somehow, she found comfort with him standing by her side. His style was rather refreshing to see, reminded her of all the fantasy books she read growing up. He must have some money to have these clothes tailored for him - or was it a cheap costume? By the looks of the fabric, his outfit definitely came off as expensive. Overall, his look worked for him and it would either push people away or in her case, draw them in. When he finished talking, Ellie brought her attention to Minako, who asked about the name of the sleeping, drunk, bloody man on Elijah's shoulder. Oh, right. I never did tell her his name. For a brief second, Ellie's aura changed as she teethed her enemy's name, "Lucas Farweight." Once that was all said and done, she held her tongue. She wanted to add: He's an asshole, an A-Class jerk, needs to find better things to do with his sorry ass life, insults and berates her, has her DAMN JOURNAL. But no. She kept it simply at his name. Eyes widening in shock, Minako instantly dug her phone out of her skirt pocket. "I need to let Gianna know something happened to him," she said worriedly, flicking through her contacts list. Elijah noticed the immediate fluctuation in Eliana's aura, a heated, very heated, bright red. It was hot and just saying his name caused her to seethe with anger, despite her compassion, she was still quite cross with his classmate. When Minako made mention of texting Gianna, he placed his hand firmly on her shoulder, "I'd strongly advise against that course of action Minako, for everyone's best interest, including Ms. Lovelace's. If you must tell her, then do so in person, knowing her, she's at that heroes only party and crashed it." His thoughts turned once more to the thunder he heard earlier. "Knowing Gianna, she's got her hands full... Sam is her rival, after all." Minako looked between the two, confused and concerned. Why was a party more important than Gianna knowing that her friend was hurt? "But, she should know right away. These injuries... they look serious. I don't understand." "Its nothing Lucas hasn't handled or done before, but again, if you must tell her, do so in person. I'll even accompany you, if you are so willing." There was much that the new girl didn't know of Gianna, that she should. This made Ellie concerned. She knew Lucas was violent but... why would he hurt himself knowing he'd make others worried? Minako bit her lip. She still didn't understand, but... sighing internally, she slipped her phone into her skirt pocket. If Gianna was at the party, then she might not even hear her phone. It would probably be better to tell her in person. "I suppose..." Staring ahead once more, pushing her worries away and noticing the infirmary a block away, Ellie changed the subject, "I wonder who's your mentor, Masterson. Your maturity level, for a college student, is quite awe-inspring." Her green orbs softened when she looked up at him, "If only you were in my shoes, you'd be a far better role model than I." He noticed Eliana's gaze turn to him, her aura changed slightly, but he wasn't sure what it was. Respect? Adimration? Affection? He banished the thoughts from his mind as he focused on the task at hand and the conversation that befell him."My father taught me much of what I know, of things and places and people that would baffle most mortal men." He shook his head when she mentioned him as a role model though, "Why in your shoes? Because you are the daughter of a respected teacher? Heritage is meaningless in the face of our true selves. You can be born a noble and be the biggest bastard, or born a bastard and have the most noble heart. Fate is cruel in such a sense, but it is humanity's hubris that condemns us to fall upon the path of nature vs nuture, of classism, racism, sexism, the list goes on. Believe it or not Ms. Lovelace, despite your own heritage you have a good heart, yet you have seen a darker path, have you not?" The only man that has made Eliana think this much was her father and now, here was a fellow colleague who talked like a sage, who talked like he had thousands upon thousands of notes flowing in his mind. His intelligence absorbed her in. She wanted to know more, hear more. This feeling was quite new to her. The last time she was this fascinated by someone was in high school when she and Brenna fell for the same man. To think not too long ago, she was going to close herself off from the world, but Elijah made her want to take chances, risks, and even open her heart to possibilities. As they approached the pathway that led to the entrance of the Infirmary, Ellie calmly answered, "Mm. I suppose I do. But so does everyone else, whether we like to admit it or not." Growing silent for an instant, a quote entered her mind. Speaking absentmindly outloud, her voice that was like honey, even through the firmness of her tone, she quoted, "Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before." Silence filled the air after she said that. Approaching the door, she pressed the key card onto the scanner and gave her colleagues access to the building. As she opened the door, Ellie whispered who she quoted, "Edgar Allan Poe."

How quaint that she should quote such a poem in response to his question. She was much smarter than most would let on, and most likely wiser than even she knew. He followed her into the building, Lucas on person and Minako in tow. No more words needed to be spoken, the silence of the air and the dark building hanging around them, their objective almost complete. The trio found an empty room and brought Lucas inside, carefully Elijah laid the boy down on the bed, his body thanking him for the relief his shoulder felt. Turning to Eliana he asked, "You'll be alright then?" That was his way of saying goodbye, he knew she'd be fine despite her and Lucas' circumstances. It wasn't like he was in any conditionable state to fight or hurt the young woman, and frankly she could probably do far worse to him, than he to her. Nodding appreciatively, she gave Elijah an almost playful smile. By now, the walk made her feel far more comfortable with him than she should be. Giving him a glimpse of a side that hardly anyone knew, the innocent dreamer and bright child in her, Ellie joked, "Oh, you know. I'm just going to take advantage of my enemy while he's out. How's that sound?" Sticking out her tongue amusingly, not knowing if he could tell what she was doing or not, she met her gaze with his glasses. After the moment lingered, she went to retrieve a bowl of water, a towel, and other medical supplies, so she could start cleaning the apparently, extremely knocked out Lucas. "Cute," Though the word was said monotonously, a small smirk did appear on his lips. Elijah could now confirm that she had a sort of affection towards him, despite his mild mannered nature, he could make use of this affection, as devious as it might sound. As she gathered the medical supplies Elijah noticed something that he hadn't before, a bright tinge of aura covering over her face, looking to Lucas he matched two and two together; blood. Thus an opportunity arose and Elijah grabbed the towel, dipping it into the bowl before wringing out the excess water. Towel in one hand, he approached Eliana and placed a hand on her shoulder, "Hold still, you have blood on your face." He began to wipe away Lucas' blood with hard enough strokes to get off the coagulating cells, but soft enough so it didn't feel like he was hashing away at her face. Her face clear of the crimson fluid, he placed the towel beside the bowl, "Much better," he took a step back and bowed his head respectfully once more, "If that is all, I shall be taking my leave Ms. Lovelace." Freezing up in place, Ellie watched as the pyromancer gently stroked her face with the wet towel. Her mind went blank. They were so close. She could feel his breath against her face and because he was cleaning it, she could see his pores and even catch sight of his closed eyes through his shades. Uh....uhhh... Eliana Lovelace, an 18 year girl, who had little to no experience with men, was mentally malfunctioning. She couldn't even comprehend the racing pulse in her chest, or the heat building up in her cheeks. What-what say? As he pulled away from her, satisfied with the good deed he did, he formally dismissed himself. Her thoughts were racing. How should she react? Should she just say goodbye? Or not say anything at all? The impulsive nature flooded over her as she blurted out, "Can I see you tomorrow?" As he turned to exit and started walking towards the door she blurted out a question. He did not think he would be asked so quickly, but he turned back towards the young woman and opted to give a small smile, "But of course," turning his body, he faced Eliana, "Perhaps we'll meet by the fountain? Around noon?" "Uh, yeah... sure." Bashfully, she looked at her feet, her hands holding tight onto the wet rag - waiting for the feeling of relief, hoping he and Minako would leave soon. Elijah nodded, "Tomorrow it is then," turning to Minako he questioned, "Shall we see Gianna now?" Eyes flicking between Eliana and Elijah, Minako bit her lip. On the one hand, Elijah's actions were innocent enough, and Minako berated herself internally for not noticing the blood earlier. On the other hand, it was still a somewhat... intimate action, and it was hard to ignore the new crimson colour that now adorned Eliana's cheeks. It was an almost painful reminder of her own behavior earlier that day. Does she... like him? Before Elijah turned around, she quickly looked him over. I... guess he looks nice enough. Though I'm not sure why he's wearing sunglasses at night. Conversely, Elijah didn't seem affected by the action at all. Which made Minako... sad? She wasn't sure how she felt about all of this. "Um, yes." She stepped forward, placing a hand on Eliana's shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze. "It was good to meet you, Eliana. I hope we get a chance to talk again." Looking up, Ellie's chartreuse green met with Minako's violet, now realizing the strange color of her orbs, and gave her an 'I'm okay' smile. Not wanting to write down her number, she delicately said, "I'm Old East, 3B, if you need someone to talk to." And with that, Dream Catcher brought her attention to the wounded person and began cleaning him up. Keeping her gaze steadily focused over the other girl's head, Minako suddenly perked up at her words. "Ah! We live on the same floor then, I am in 3F." She smiled widely as she followed Elijah out of the infirmary, waving good-bye. "I will also make sure that I am available, if you should desire the same."
