[/quote]Nah, I wasn't thinking of copying AKs or anything close to that. I was saying that designs would inspire people to develop firearms that look more like what we recognize as guns. Basically the typical musket look would be popular earlier. Similarly the mechanisms might help them to develop snaplock or flintlock earlier. Caplock is also plausible with various chemicals lying around. Another technology I forgot to mention is printing which is just as important and people could get pointers to them from many sources.
