This was what I was getting at. An asexual is no harder to romance than anyone else, as long as you define romance as forming an emotional bond based on mutual respect, admiration and what have you, not as mutual exclusive booty rights. So yeah, Holden sounds more like an aromantic (or sociopath) than anything else.
