[@BlackPanther] He was trained not to care for people?  Oh, because he started as a human?  Hm...I guess fey do have to be more cautious with their love and their hatred, as they live so much longer, but I'm not sure why he'd be told not to feel much of anything.  If he was trained, he didn't take to it well.  Seeing as how there was that whole thing with the mortal woman....
