So this is essentially a prequel to the other two. The 1950's is a bit of an incubator decade for change and makes for an interesting transitional period. A lot of seeds are planted for things that burst out in the 1960's, musically, culturally, politically, technologically and all the combinations of the above. Technology is just coming on line in a big way that will fundamentally alter the way society works. It's prosperous and (relatively) peaceful so the cracks are hidden under a fresh coat of paint. It seems like a square decade where people conformed, but that's the marketing, not the reality. The reality was a simmering discontent as the consequences of WWII were still being processed and reacted to. Should be interesting.
