Even if Gideon's Gholens failed, Wrath had forgotten there were two snakes, the one that dove into the chasm and is now pulling itself would not have made it in time, but the other one in tandem with Gideon's summoned Gholen would smash itself against Wrath, knocking him away, while Gorgon demonstrated her abilities shown from the very beginning of the encounter. She took a position that avoided Kosara's Blade Bloom, and knelt to one knee, before planting her dagger into the ground.

Snakes erupted from the spot, spreading and climbing up Kosara's hair, suddenly she was at danger of being eaten away by countless demonic snakes speeding their way up her hair and over to her. As soon as Gorgon thought she had enough snakes to keep Kosara occupied, pulled her dagger out of the ground and jumped back onto the Abyssal Riders that Gideon had summoned. 

[color=green]"Come my pets, it's time we leave"[/color], she called out. The two giant snakes turned to her and sped away towards her as she and Gideon escaped from the area.

Try as they might, they could try and fire on them from afar, but it would be to little avail. The mission was over... Technically both sides had achieved their objectives. With Gorgon gone from the forest, the demons here would become weak and easy to clean up, keeping it clear of demons, and the demons of Mundus had gained a new ally.
