An NPC walking to Kano's office at mid-Lunch.

A student with a clipboard and a rather pathetic looking 'Hall Monitor' sticker stuck to his right shoulder sleeve hurriedly walked down the hallway towards Headmaster Kano's office. Upon arrival, he heard three voices inside and decided not to interfere with whatever was happening at the moment. He looked over the paperwork on the clipboard - it appeared to be an incident report. The date was left blank because the incident was not yet completely resolved.

Incident Report
Time: 2:34 PM Date: _______ Location: Elemental Academy, frontal courtyard Incident Type: A212 - Aerokineses Pyrolysis Incident #7 Participants: Professor Avarius, Professor Vallen, 1stYr Brunhilde Vigmundsdottir, 1stYr Emi Akemi, 1stYr Luke Thames Damage Report: Twelfth courtyard Tree on left side, exterior charred. One circle of grass, nine meters in diameter, centered three meters towards the Front Gate from the tree. One book. Description (short): Late & Disruptive students assaulted w/ deadly weapon by Professor Vallen, book damaged. Student defended others, school grounds damaged. Description (detail): First year students Brunhilde Vigmundsdottir and Emi Akemi arrived late to evening class. First year student Luke Thames greeted students, distracting Emi Akemi during martial arts lesson and lecture. Professor Vallen fired a chain whip ending in a five (5) pound flanged weight at a velocity in excess of twenty (20) meters per second, striking Luke Thames. Luke Thames was alert enough to successfully block the strike, which would have caused severe internal injuries otherwise. Chain whip backlash destroyed one (1) book, presumed belonging to either student Emi Akemi or student Brunhild Vigmundsdottir. In response to either the assault of Luke Thames or the destruction of the book, student Brunhilde Vigmundsdottir flew into a rage, attacking Professor Vallen unsuccessfully. Students Luke Thames and Emi Akemi left area at this time. Despite Brunhilde Vigmundsdottir attempting to strike Professor Vallen no fewer than one-hundred and twelve (112) times, Professor Vallen only struck back twice, each time intended to cause severe pain and incapacitate, to no effect. State of shock or other temporary loss of contact with reality suspected in Brunhilde Vigmundsdottir. Student Brunhilde Vigmundsdottir collapsed from overexertion, followed by undirected aerokinesis dramatically increasing local temperature to roughly 320°C, resulting in pyrolysis of nearby organic matter. Professor Vallen moved out of sphere of effect, Professor Avarius attempted to mitigate damage to student Brunhilde Vigmundsdottir until Brunhilde Vigmundsdottir's eventual loss of consciousness. Student Brunhilde Vigmundsdottir suspected injured by unrestrained expulsion of energy, but denied offered medical assistance upon waking two minutes after loss of consciousness, stating to Professor Avarius, 'I'm fine.' Hall Monitor club member Arthur Varyon (3rdYr) offered medical assistance to Brunhilde Vigmundsdottir shortly thereafter and was denied, reportedly being told, 'I'm fine. Fuck off.' One day post-incident checkup revealed that student Brunhilde Vigmundsdottir has no memory of incident. Signed: Kyle Farnham, Hall Monitor club President.
The voices in the Headmaster's room hadn't stopped speaking. The student, unaware that the conversation would likely shortly be over, slid the report off of the clipboard and dropped it into Headmaster Kano's inbox, on top of an indeterminate number of other similar reports of much lesser incidents, including littering of all things. The Hall Monitor club was unnecessary, of course, given that the teachers themselves were more than capable of defending both the facility and its students from harm, and that the school grounds themselves were highly protective as well, but that didn't stop them from trying to maintain order regardless. The current members of the club were known for being nuisances to Academy staff and generally trying to make staff members look bad. This particular member of the club scurried back off to his assigned post to spy on the other students after finishing his mail run.
