Mary stared blankly as all their attacks were simply sucked into the Abyssal's gaping maw ineffectually. Midori's fire was sucked in, Mary's bullet's curved, and even the laser Akoni redirected was just absorbed. Yeah, she had a feeling this fight wasn't going to be easy. She quickly made her way to the dome, just before Akoni did. The beast followed, eventually stopping it's vacuum force once it reached the dome. Once there, Souta quickly fired a blue flame at it, and in reply it quickly turned its head and negated the attack. So this thing was fast, and huge. Excellent. Once the thing ate the light meal, it's carapace sort of bubbled as it digested the flame, and then it sprouted greasy appendages to scurry up to the ceiling with. Mary resisted the urge to vomit, and prepared herself to dodge another attack. The monster spewed forth a mix of Souta's gunfire and Midori's flames. There was no adequate cover, it seemed, but there was one way to dodge this that Mary could think of. Mary, thinking quickly, decided to test out her new form. With an inhuman roar, the form of Mary became larger, frayed and burnt fur sprouting all over her body, and antler horns sprouted from her head. Her feet began leaking a magma, and her entire body was wreathed in flame. She dashed through the blue hellfire with ease, leaving behind a trail of magma that spread onto the floor. After that, she decided to take advantage of her form and follow Akoni's lead. She crouched down, and leaped directly upwards at the Abyssal, intent to tear its guts out with her claws. Though doubt clouded her mind, she pushed the image of herself out of her head, trying to focus on the fight. Besides, she was sure everyone else's Firebrand was odd and molten as well. As long as she didn't have to show off her true Devil Trigger, she'd be fine.
