Equipment: While Ryu has wielded a great deal of weapons, his main stays are throwing kunai knives he keeps strapped to his legs, a bow and quiver of arrows, and the legendary Dragon Sword, a katana his family has long guarded with a blade that is said to cut through anything.
Abilities: Ryu has mastered the art of Hayabusa-ryu ninjutsu, and has a long list of techniques and capabilities.  However, outside of his martial arts and weapon prowess, he wields Ninpo, mystical ninja magic.  His signature Ninpo ability is The Art of the Fire Wheel.  He creates three fireballs that orbit around him, serving as a kind of protection.
Weaknesses and Limitations: Ryu is a master ninja, a peak-level human that has destroyed ninja, armed forces, even demons.  However, for all of his skill and ability, he is still human.  A lethal wound is a lethal wound.  His physical parameters are impressive, allowing him to perform feats of strength, speed, endurance, and dexterity beyond other humans, but he can only rage against insurmountable odds for so long.  In addition, utilizing Ninpo requires a measure of spiritual energy, or ki, which can only be restored through rest and meditation.
Personality: Ryu is a ninja.  In battle he is cold and calculating and while cut down a foe without hesitation or remorse.  He is, however, not without honor.  He knows that the lives he takes are in pursuit of the greater good, but takes no pleasure in killing.  It is simply an act that he must commit in order to accomplish whatever his mission may be.  He has a strong sense of the greater good, and has on multiple occasions saved the world from disaster and destruction.  He has the wisdom, outlook, and demeanor of an elderly man, and has a high respect for balance.  He harbors no lust for power, nor any curiosity in darkness.  He is a man who has accepted what he is and what he must never be.
Backstory: Born the son of Jo Hayabusa, Ryu is the youngest shinobi of the Dragon Lineage Ninja Clan.  From a young age he face grueling training in combat, survival, stealth, and killing, as well as many other skills that a shinobi might need.  He excelled and quickly became the top student of the clan, being named the successor of the Hayabusa Clan when he graduated.  He is the wielder and guardian of the Dragon Sword.  He has done more for the clan than just assassinate targets.  He has also cemented relations between his clan and other shinobi clans, such as the Mugen Tenshin clan.  He is actually close personal friends with the clan leader Hayate, and his younger sisters Kasumi and Ayane.  With their help, he has achieved great things, including defeating fiends risen from Hell and stopping several plots that jeopardized the safety of the world.[/hider]
