While the words themselves may be condescending, she spoke in an instructive way, seeing herself as the role-model, the paragon to these impressionable youth (though Mako wasn't much younger than herself); youth who had only known and looked up to heroes like Mr. Incredible, who was hardly the ideal Cassie felt these girls should be striving towards.
