In the briefing it was mentioned that Mist immediately responds to any [i]direct[/i] attacks by activating with no cooldowns. However, [@Mr Rage] has the right idea on how to tackle it, so if all pilots work together you can take it down. Elora's HUD upgrade also informs when the weapon is activated.
