Cass smirked at his offering "absolutely famished Hun" she spoke with a wink taking his plate graciously. She didn't care about pride or anything close to the matter food was food "especially since you're so desperate to part with it." She stood up nearly hopping to her feet gracefully. "Man what's one detention? I mean unless you're set on a clear record.." She eyed him, he looked like he never stepped out of line once. Compared to herself, where she belong outside the line. She sighed pulling her hair to one side and taking a bite from the potatoes. It was certainly way better than the tasteless shit they got at the orphanage, even at the cold temperature it was at it was like nothing she ever had. "Damn...I mean not to sound like little orphan Annie, who never had a good bite to eat in her life, but this is good shit for left overs.." She smiled kindly sparing the amount of bites she took so she could savor it. Man this was sad, anyone else would turn up their nose.

Max relaxed slightly, if not somewhat visibly, as Cass accepted his offer with a wink. She certainly didn't seem shy and her language was courser than most around the school, but it wasn't worse than what Max had heard, or even used, elsewhere. He chuckled softly at her comment about detention and a clear record. It almost seemed like she was reading him and had already come to some sort of conclusion about the kind of person he was. He supposed he couldn't really blamee her, it wasn't as if she had much to go on.

"I'm not particularly fussed about my record, I just have places that I'd much rather be than stuck in a room where even the teacher doesn't want to be there for an hour. The way I see it, one less detention means one more hour I can spend doing what I actually want to do."

He smiled slightly as he watched Cass eat. She seemed to enjoy the Au Gratin almost as much as he did. "Well, I'm glad you like it." He said, grinning. Max thought to himself for a moment, considering how much he could trust this girl that he'd just met. Her status as an orphan barely glazed over his mind only to be brushed away by a mental hand. Max saw no reason why he couldn't trust her enough to tell her about the leftovers, it wasn't like he was breaking school rules anyway!

"Keep it quiet, but I usually ask the kitchen staff to cook up an extra meal now and then and then buy the leftovers. It stops the school from throwing them out and wasting it all and it also gives the staff something else to eat on their lunch breaks." Max confessed, scratching his head, feeling a little awkward. This wasn't exactly something he told the other students. "If you like, I could see about having them send over an extra batch to the orphanage now and then, since you seem to like it so much." Max grimaced slightly as he thought back to Conrad and his reaction to Max's charity.

"Just don't tell your friend it's from me." He said, somewhat sourly.

A fat man moved to the microphone, clearing his throat. Eventually the crowd quieted down, leaving the room in silence. Moe groaned, giving up on anyone not already there.
"Hello, students and welcome back to semester two! I know most of you were here a mere two days ago, finishing exams but we have an entire group of new students! I'm sure you've all heard about how the kids from next door are being sponsored by Strex Corp. to join us in our studies! If not, you'll have seen all the new faces."
"New faces?" Moe muttered, crossing her arms as the man continued on to introduce all the teachers standing on the stage, and a few more around the room. "They would have noticed our old clothes before they even noticed the rest of us."
"Now, I know we're different, but welcome them to our school. Now, you all would have gotten course sheets. In a minute, we'll stand up and leave the auditorium in an orderly fashion, one row at a time. You will go to your first period class. Thank you, and lets have a wonderful rest of year." Instead of the order he had described, the entire room stood up at once, moving into the hall as a big Mass. Moe stayed seated, waiting until the flow of people has slowed to leave. She hated big crowds, and she hated being in them even more

And.... he was lost. It was a huge school, and for all he knew their class would be inside a shed or something like the basement. He grimaced and pulled a crinkled paper from his pocket, looking at a class number. They didn't match in the slightest. Great.

His first thought was to ask someone. But a glance at those self confident rich kids immediately made him hunch his shoulders and walk down the hall to a different floor. He wouldn't ask them for anything. Ask a teacher? They were little better. Some would likely be disgusted with his poverty, others pitying. Useless. Conrad couldn't even ask another orphan for help, it wasn't like they knew the place beyond their own schedule. Heat rose slightly in his face as he paused in the middle of the crowd of people.

Oh well, if he was late it wouldn't be a huge deal, just a stupid poor kid who couldn't find his way around. Let them think what they wanted. Conrad dejectedly started down the hall, checking room numbers.

Cass nodded, that seemed to be the position all the rich kids were in "for us..it's one more hour away from that hell hole of an orphanage.." She kicked a pebble lazily with her foot then dusted off the seat of her jeans making sure no dirt was on them. She looked tworeds the school walking to the asymbly with her new friend, or maybe acquaintance...she wasn't sure whether max was genuine or not she didn't really care either but most rich kids never stepped a foot near her. Afraid of the trouble she might cause for their reputation, they either went out of their way to dodge her or to mess with her, but she learned from her mistakes. She listened quietly to his little confession and she made a zipper swipe accord her lips "secrets safe with me" she quickened her pace slightly knowing he wouldn't want detention, and if they were any later they were in for it. She cut him off before he could say 'if you like' putting a hand on his shoulder they arrived at a window next to the main doors "here this leads to the gym pool, if you boost me up I can open the door for you and we can sneak in and go straight to the auditorium with out getting caught..." A mischievous smile spread on her face comfortably this wasn't the first time she had to sneak into the pool, though normally it was for enjoying an empty pool late at night with a few friends. "Unless of course you'd like detention?" She raised a brow knowing it would contradict what he said before, and plus she liked showing off.

"Miss Hollybrook! School has started it is time to get up!" One of her servant called to her as she entered her bedroom. The lady moved around her room hastily to get her clothes ready. She pulled clothes out of the closet and hung them up in front of Diamond's changing screen. "Miss Hollybrook please get up or your father will be furious with me."

A figure moved under the covers before Diamond threw the covers off of herself. "Tea." She demanded. "Yes Ma'am" the woman replied walking out of the room for a moment to tell another lady to get the tea ready. "Miss Hollybrook your outfit has been set out. Your stylist is waiting outside your room when you are ready. Breakfast is waiting on you in the nook. Your father wishes to speak to you as soon as your available."

Diamond waved the woman off as she raddled everything that didn't really matter. Another woman walked in holding a tray with her tea on it. "Ma'am, your tea." The woman set the tea down on her night stand. Diamond didn't even look at the tea as she got up. She got dressed in her tailor made outfit that was a light pink shirt and a short light brown skirt. Over the shirt she slid on a light brown jacket that matched her skirt. Her servant signaled for the stylist to come in and to her hair and make up perfectly. As she made her way to the door she slipped on her Louis Vuitton shoes with a matching hand bag.

When she arrived at school she was in the middle of a phone call with her father wanting to know if she was having fun at her school and if she had made any friends. While she was walking down the hall she bumped into someone. "Excuse me" The guy said.

She didn't even look at him as she replied. "I accept your apology." She said bluntly. "Next time don't watch where you are going." With that she walked off from him continuing her conversation with her father. To her she didn't see why she had to go to school or study when she was going to live with her mother and father until they die then take the money they leave behind or marry one of her daddy's business partner's sons.

There was also something she was forgetting.. now what could that be? Her servant had said something about something with the students and some change. Oh well, she was sure it didn't apply to her, nothing ever did.

Moz woke up to the sound of a drill whistle he sat up straight with out hesitation. His bed was hardly unmade and his silk in pajamas lay on him with barely a wrinkle. He stood at attention till he was given the signal to go about his day. He walked into the bathroom where ten servants came in to dress him head to toe and style him perfectly. He yawned trying to stretch but they yanked his arms every which way to get him dressed. "Oh-" he stumbled pulling his hands free and straightening his blazer aggressively and snatching his tie "just let me, you're all dismissed!" He grumpily put on his tie making sure it was straight then head himself down shaft to the kitchen where they already had a full course breakfast meal prepared. A servant came around to tie on a cover to protect his thousand dollar outfit, but he didn't need it his table manners were exquisite, especially since his father raised him like a British soldier. He took his satchel then started towards the door. His father waited there for him like he did every Monday to shake his hand goodbye. Moz shook his hand hardly looking him in the eye then left out the door.

He preferred to drive himself to school seeing as they had so many beautiful cars he could show off. Today he took an older model out since the weather was so nice. By the time he arrived at school the assembly was over, but he wouldn't get in trouble cause well he was rich, and could get away with just about anything. As he walked through the halls he spotted Diamond. He brushed by her with a charming smile and a wink, but that's all he gave her. Most of the girls at the school would love to just be noticed by Moz and he knew that. He loved stringing them all along and picking a favorite every other week or so. No one really cared around here anyway. All the rich guys did it, it had just become a way of life at the school.

Diamond had just got off the phone with her father when someone else decided to brush against her. She looked up at the boy with his smile. She put her brows together looking at him trying to remember who he was. When he winked at her she turned her attention away from him to her jacket. Reaching her hand up she brushed her shoulder off like he had got dirt on her. Without a second glance she continued walking. Her father had told her to go to class like a good girl and learn as much as she could. Of course if her father told her to do something she would do it without a second thought. She was rich, spoiled, and got anything in the world that she could ask for, but she wasn't stupid. She knew that everything she got in life came from her parents well lined pockets. Still she didn't understand why she had to go to school.

She made her way to the school directory and looked at the map telling all the students which halls to go for certain classes. Browsing through her phone she pulled up her schedule to see where she was suppose to go. Looking back and forth between her phone and the directory she thought about the boy that had smiled at her earlier. He looked like he was from a well off family from the way that he was dressed and styled. She supposed that next time that she saw him she would ask for his name and try to be on reasonable terms with him since her mother and father had told her to be nice to the richest kids in the school. You never know when those kid's parents would turn into business partners.

Moe glared around her as she left the auditorium, clearly mad at someone. Kids would glance at her and move away, no matter what gheir social status. The orphans knew that she was no one to cross when set on course, but she could only assume the rich students were either scared of
Her expresion or disgusted by her poorness. She moved around, finally locating one of the persons she was looking for. She was asking for a boost to get to the auditorim faster.
"Y'all are too late, anyhow. No point in breaking in now." She barked, barely taking notice of the boy she was with. She didn't recognise him, therefore he was rich, and out of her protective circle. "You ll just get in more trouble now, seeing you skipped the asslembly. You need to work on your time managemet skills, Cass." She huffed, crossing her arms and glancing at the boy next to her. She nodded in greeting before glaring back at Cass.

Enrique woke up on a couch his legs dangling over the side, he sat upright and pushed his hair back out of his face. He looked around at the remnants of a party he attended in honor of a friend of his. He looked around and saw multiple people passed out on the floor, he stood up off the couch and walked into the kitchen, his friend Nathaniel was sitting there with his little brother , the 13 year old Adam, and another friend of theirs all eating breakfast.

"What time is it man?" Enrique asked as he checked the fridge for something to drink, he pulled the orange juice off the top shelf and shook it next to his ear. Empty. He tossed it into the trash and grabbed a glass and filled it with water. He drank it thirstily and set the glass down on the counter, "You're out of everything."

"Its 10:52," Nate said.

"I'm gonna be late for school damn it" Enrique said nonchalantly. He gave a playful push to the back of Adams head and walked out the door, he briefly paused to adjust himself to the light outside. He saw his yellow and black dirt bike sitting just outside the chain-link fence. He opened the gate and mounted his bike he picked up the motocross helmet and put it over his head, his bike revved to life and he took off to the orphanage. He pulled up to the curb and ran inside, he to his bunk and pulled his school bag from under it. He ran out of the house quickly and hopped on his bike once again, he revved it up and drove off towards the school. However short a walk he enjoyed having his bike at school it was an easier way to get home, he parked it outside on the side of the school and ran inside. He walked to his regular class and noticed no one was there, he walked the school until he passed the auditorium and heard someone speaking. He noticed two people standing there and recognized one as a girl from the orphanage, Moe. The teacher he noticed as well and she definitely recognized him.

"Hey Moe whats going on?" Enrique asked.

"Late again Mr.Ortiz," The woman said somewhat aggressively, "That could get you into detention."

Max grinned slightly at Cass' challenge. Cupping his hands together, he braced himself against the wall. "Ladies first, then." He said with a smile.
Hoisting Cass up was a simple enough task, she was quite light, however, once she had climbed in through the window, Max took a few steps back, running at the wall and jumping, his right foot pushing off the wall for extra height, giving him just enough clearance to grab hold of the window sill. Hoisting himself through the window, he dropped down with a slight tap of his shoes on the ground.

"Figured that would be faster. And a bit more impressive." He said with a sly wink, "The opening ceremony is probably over by now anyway. What's your first class?" He asked as they began walking alongside the pool.

As Cass gracefully hoisted herself through the window (with the help of her new comrade of course) she looked up to the window with planted feet on the ground. She started tworeds the door but she heard his hands grip the brick and metal. She whistled to over exagerate her impress, but she would never admit she was. She looked ahead to see Moe in front of her, and she didn't seem happy. Cass simply rolled her eyes mocking her crossed arms "Don't worry about me sis, this was hardly anything...if anything you should keep an eye on Enrique, you do know where he was last night, right?" She raised a brow a happy smirk on her face. She looked back tworeds Max not even bothering with an introduction, she knew Moe had no care in the world for the rich, and she respected that. "I've got English, we probably have the same class...unless segregation is your kind of thing? Then you'd be in the "Elite" English with the rest of the drones." She smiled happily looking between Max and Moe.

Moz simply chuckled at Diamonds reaction he wasn't desperate for her affection, and besides a girl like that...they usually come around. He kept on his way whistling to his first class, English. He made sure he wouldn't be mixed in with the other English classes he only liked to be around the orphans if he could mess with them. He took his seat a little earlier than the rest so he proped his feet up waiting for the other arrivals patiently, he wasn't in a rush, not today anyway.

Moe sighed, shaking her head.
"Yes, yes. He got out before I could notice. Bloody hell, though. At least try to keep from getting kicked out! I'm going to class, english with you guys. Again, if you aren't a pretentious jerk. Stay and flirt or make out or sex I don't care, but don't be late!" She hissed, pointing at the both of them before sprinting away, less angry than she seemed. She knew it would take more than that to get kicked out. She paused at the door before looking over her shoulder.
"Second thought don't sex it up! That will get the both of you expelled!" She grinned, dissapearing before she heard any comments. Quickly sliding into the classroom, she nodded to enrique in greeting, turning to the teacher.
"We're hardly late, the second bell hasn't gone yet." Twisting Enrique around by the shoulders, she led him to a seat and forced him to sit, taking the seat beside him, setting her face cold. "And dang nabbit, E, don't go out on school nights! I'm not waking you up if you fall asleep!"

"Sorry chicana," Enrique said slouching in his chair "Nate got out the other day, I couldnt let him celebrate without me. He took the blame for me and his little brother Moe, you just dont let that kind of bad ass go to waste. Besides I came back didnt I..."

Enrique pulled his backpack onto the desk and rested his head on it and closed his eyes. He heard the sound of clearly practiced laughter and opened his eyes in time to see some of the preps walk in. He sat upright in his chair with aggressive posture, he looked at Moe and nodded towards the incoming preps. He recognized some of them and had a bit nostalgia about his morning, wishing he could go back and choose to not show up today.

"Damn preps," Enrique said.

Max balked at the appearance of Moe. How had he missed her?! He was so caught up with Cass that he become oblivious of his surroundings, it seemed. Moe's departing comment, however, caused Max to laugh heartily.
"Well," He said, looking at Cass, "I wouldn't consider the food I gave you 'buying you a meal first', so I don't think a poolside hook up is on the cards today." He commented with a board grin, "But I think your friend is right, we should probably get to English with the rest of the 'drones'. I certainly hope they weren't shortsighted enough to segregate the classes, though! I'm not all that keen to be stuck in a classroom with a group of 'elites' who consider this situation to be little more than a photo op for their parents."

From there, Max led the way to the classroom, already familiar with the school's layout. He was relieved to see that the classes hadn't been segregated, although the divide was quickly becoming apparent. Entering the room, Max held the door open for Cass. "After you?"

Diamond found a person that looked of lowly status "Servant, tell me where this english class is." The student looked at her somewhat confused by her statement.

"Excuse me?" He said rather irritated with her. "Who's a servant?"

"You're excused." She stated ignoring the rest of what he said. "Lead me to class. That is your job." She waited for him to lead the way but he just stood there staring at her. She tapped her foot a few times before giving up on him. "Of course. My mistake, you are to stupid to know and.. " she looked him up and down. "To stupid to dress right. Why are you filthy? Those clothes are awful. It looks like you have worn them more than twice."

"What is your problem?" He was livid by this point.

She looked away from him to see if there was someone else who was better suited to help me. "I dont know why they would hire trash here. I need to let daddy know."

"Trash?!" He almost yelled down the hall.

"I'm an orphan, not trash you stuck up-"

"Oh yes!" She cut him off. "I remember now. They were going to let some orphans join this school." She looked him up and down again. "How sad. Next time you shouldn't lose your parents."

With that she walked off leaving the boy dumbfounde. She wandered down the hall until she came across a room matching the number on her schedule. "Finally." She stated as she walked into the room and took a seat ignoring everyone around her. She set her bag on the desk and pulled out her designer note book and personalized pen with her name on it and a real diamond set at the end. She was going to do exactly what her daddy and mommy said. Just sit and learn. Nothing else was important. Everyone was below her

Enrique heard shouting from out in the hall and watched the door. Within seconds a girl walked in with blonde hair and expensive looking clothes, he watched as she sat. If anyone ever asked him he would deny it but some of the prep girls weren't bad looking, not bad looking at all. He was checking her out.

He heard whistling out of the corner of his eye and saw some motion. He turned to see some fairly popular kids in varsity jackets giving him threatening looks, Enrique smirked and flipped off the varsity guys. He leaned forward in his seat and watched the girl as she pulled out a pencil he noticed a glint on the tip of it and his face looked puzzled. He was staring at a diamond on the tip of this girls pencil! He couldn't believe it the only time he'd ever seen one except for on TV. He realized he was gawking at the pen and somewhat at the girl as well and he reset his stern face. The teacher walked in and began writing something on the board, he zoned out and eventually drifted off to sleep.

"Ah, shit. Diamond's back." Max muttered to himself in disdain as he watched the girl enter the classroom. Diamond represented the worst case scenario when it came to kids born into money in Max's opinion. Flashy apparel, disposable income going towards ridiculous trinkets, like her infamous diamond encrusted pen, a sense of entitlement coupled with always getting her way…
Max purposely avoided Diamond like the plague. His family had no interest in any of the business interests her family represented, and even if they had, Max had no doubt that the Carmichael Group, his family company, would be on the purchasing end of the buyout. Honestly, Max didn't see the attraction surrounding Diamond, even on a physical level, but then again he'd always felt that way about numerous entitled heiress', being that he intended to be far away from them when the inevitable sex tape was leaked.

"Don't mind her," Max muttered to Cass, "Some of us reinforce the negative stereotype surrounding us more than others." Walking into the classroom, Max made a point of choosing a seat several rows back and to the left of Diamond.

Cass smirked as she watched Moe bolt off, she was always so careful. She looked twored Max faking a frown "aww, maybe next time then?" She laughed at his remark following him up to the door. She curtsied at his gesture enthusiastically with a smile "manners and free food? This is all too good to be true." She winked peering in through the door then turning quickly to face Max holding her hands on both sides of the entrance so he couldn't step through. "I don't know if you can handle so many orphans in one room.." She whispered cautiously as a quick joke before they went through. She noticed diamond and Moz first thing, they definitely stuck out more than the others even just by the way they sat. She shared a glance with Max then took the seat next to his. "You sure you'll be okay getting caught seen with me? Wouldn't want to ruin your reputation." She smiled loving to tease him but slightly hoping she wasn't actually bothering him.

Diamond didn't even glance at Enrique as she walked in. She knew without looking at him he wasn't worth anything. He didn't interest her like those with money did. Diamond had noticed the guy that had winked at her earlier, but she didn't fell like extending pleasantries at the moment. She spun her pen on her fingers looking at the board. Placing her cheek on one of her hands she leaned against it staring boredly at her pen as it went around and around. The diamond catching the light just right each time just I right so that she could see the sparkle.

As she was spinning her pen she noticed Max enter the classroom. She didn't bother to move her head just glanced at him. He was someone with money and she knew it just by looking at him. She couldn't recall ever exchanging words with him. The more she thought about it the less she noticed the girl at his side. She would have to talk to him to make her daddy happy. Diamond sighed and stared at the board. The teacher was talking to much and telling them to listen. It was really getting on her nerves. She looked the teacher up and down. Clothes were ok for a commoner, hair was fine for doing it herself and jewelry.. The teacher was trying to fit in with being rich by wearing expensive brands or so they thought. The jewelry was a knock off, she should know she had the real things at home.

As the teacher went on Diamond couldn't stand it for another moment. She slipped her notebook into her bag and her pen into the front pocket of her jacket. She stood up right in the middle of class and looked at the teach like she was nothing. "Send the class work to my room, I will do it there. I can't stand to sit here and listen to you ramble. Plus your jewelry is fake and you have done a poor job on trying to look like you belong."

With that Diamond left the classroom. If she had to do the work she would rather do it at her dorm with a private teacher that actually was worth something. As she walked down the hall she straightened her clothes and fluffed her hair a bit. She would try the next class, but if it was unbearable like that one she would just have to go home for the day.
