Tomomi Katayama
"The only piece of ageing equipment that needs fixed around here is you, old man." Tomomi said, loudly enough to be overheard, in response to the principal's comments about 'delinquents'. If they wanted her to stop messing with people, the least they could do was have something exciting in the school. She stopped paying attention shortly after that. Once it was done, Tomomi couldn't help but agree with Akira about the assembly's entertainment value. Seriously, she'd never been to something this boring in her life. Unless you counted the last one. "No kidding." she groaned. This place was sapping her will to live. She was going to head to class, but a hand on her shoulder tole her that one of the teachers had overheard her comments. Great. Needless to say, the lecture that followed wasn't worth it. Neither was the detention that followed.
So much talking. Talking, talking, talking. Who had half an hour to spend staring at the wall? Not Tomomi, but apparently that was what detention consisted of. So much for turning over a new leaf. She made a mental note to never attend one of these things ever again. Respect the principal, make the school proud, blah blah blah. Ugh. Once she got out of detention, Tomomi decided to go straight home. Considering her options, she strolled out the front of the school, kicking stones along the path grumpily. In her bad mood, she didn't even notice that several of them hit her best friend Shiro as she went. She wasn't intentionally ignoring him, or picking a fight, but pushed past him on her way out, just because at this point, she couldn't be bothered walking around them. Lectures annoyed her. Really, really annoyed her. Without even looking up, Tomomi practically snarled at Shiro. "Move, would you?" she said, not even realising who she was talking to one bit.
